TrueLumen 12-Volt Power Supplier for TrueLumen LED Strips and Lunar Lights

The  TrueLumen 12-Volt Power Supplier for TrueLumen LED Strips and Lunar Lights  is required if you wish to use products such as the  TrueLumen 453nm Blue 3-LED Linking Module, One Female and One Male Connector  as I did for my JBJ Pico aquariums.Usually these transformers are quite bulky and square. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the unit I received was a slimmer design than what was pictured. The transformer is about 1.5 inches wide by 3 inches long. Although this unit worked well for my situation, please be advised the long, narrow design of the transformer / plug head may block additional outlets on your power strip or wall outlet. The product features ample cord length and a secure male connector.

The power supply provides plenty of electricity to the LED strip lights. That being said, a TrueLumen four LED strip light was so bright in my 10 gallon aquarium that I had to turn right around and buy the dimmer that goes between the transformer and the strip light.So, while I highly recommend the power supply and TruLumen LED strip lights, consider the size of your aquarium and at least think about buying the dimmer as well.

I bought this as part of a setup for my sugar glider cage. At night I turn this on because it mimics the moonlight. Since gliders are nocturnal they now have a close to natural night light that is similar to moonlight in my computer room. They love it and so do I. If I forget to turn this on, they bark and tell me "dad you forgot to turn the nightlight on" LOL.

You need this power supply to run TrueLumen strips.I recently bought a couple of the different TrueLumen strips (the 453 nm Actinic and the 12,000k/Actinic combination) to replace the failing electronics in my 12 gallon Aquapods. Check out my reviews of these, which has a lot more details not included in the brief product description.If you have an older Aquapod (or similarly small aquarium), and are looking to upgrade/replace the lighting, in my opinion you can't go wrong with this solution! So very happy that I tried the TrueLumen prodcuts!

Works great but looks different from picture. The end that plugs into the wall is longer but narrower. The end that plugs into the splitter or light strip is not an L shape.

My 29 gallon Biocube moon lights are still working, but very dim. I thought I could add a set of moon light to add shimmer through the night , since my clownfish keep laying eggs. Looks great.

It lets me plug in my lights. Too bad this does not actually come with them

Ordered the TrueLumen 10" blue LED strip and luckily I read the reviews and discovered this was required as well due to the strip not being supplied with one. It is needed/required and it works. Not sure what else to say...
