You. Need. This.
You need this, or maybe you don't, but I certainly do. It's a tight fit on my 1916 Lee Enfield No1 MkIII, 303 but it makes shooting a LOT more pleasant. The rifle is a great piece of history but after about 20 rounds of the original stock slamming into my shoulder I was grimacing with every trigger pull. Now, with the pad, it's much more pleasant. So, if you've got some ancient battle rifle that's beating you up, or some heavy-caliber hunting rifle that's too much of a bruiser, or your 12ga clay breaker is wearing you out, give this pad a try.(I'm a simple man: if something works as expected, fits right, solves my problem, and at a reasonable price, I give it 5 stars.)

Fits like a glove
Havent bad the chance to use it yet but I'll give it 3 stars for now... fits nice and snug on my 12 guage Remington 870 Express magnum. Feels good against the shoulder area and seems like it'll do the job. We shall see after I put about 100 shots at some clays. I'll report back once I do. Overall nice product though. Doesn't feel or look cheap. Looks like it can handle the elements. So far I'm satisfied.*** UPDATE - 03/21/19 *** - I finally used it today and shot some skeet. About 50-60 rounds I went through and it was amazing. WAY better than any of the ones at Walmart or other outdoor stores. Today I give it the 2 extra stars for a total of 5. I'd give it 10 if I could. Still fit nice and snug on the butt stock shot after shot, didnt move or shift and literally took about 96% of the overall recoil away. I'm amazed. I'm guessing the gel inside the pad not only cushions the recoil but also absorbs the shock as well because it felt like a I was shooting a .22 or my colt M4 .223 5.56. 100% satisfied. I'm just going to keep this in my Amazon shopping list because if I ever need one again, I'll be getting another one of these. So as of today, I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a recoil pad for your firearm, just click buy now. Stop reading this review.......... seriously, I said stop reading....... STOP.... buy it now....

Does exactly what it says it does
Bought 2 of these for a high-volume dove hunt in Argentina. 20 gauge shotgun. Very effective at reducing the recoil. Shot 3,000 rounds in 4 days and shoulder never hurt at all. The stretchy lining that holds it on gun tore in 2 spots on one of them on the first day. Otherwise a FANTASTIC product for its intended purpose. Works so well I requested a new one as opposed to refund. The second one I bought for a 74 year old friend had no issue on same hunt and he shot over 4000 rounds with it. He also was very impressed with the comfort it provided.

Great product
It fit like a glove and noticeably reduced the recoil.I put it on a Franchi 48-AL 12 gauge which is a very light shotgun. Because it is so light it has a pretty good little kick. At first it's not so bad but after you shoot it for a while it starts to wear on you. I've had a limbsaver grind to fit pad on it for years and the rubber on the pad started to deteriorate and become very sticky. I just haven't taken the time to replace it so I bought this to put over it and it worked perfectly.

A pleasant change in recoil of Mil-Surp Rifles!
I use this recoil pad to lessen the recoil in several of my WW1 and WW2-era military surplus rifles. It really tames the otherwise uncomfortable recoil usually felt (especially when firing from a prone position) from guns chambered in larger rifle cartridges with metal butt plates (8mm Mauser, 7.7 Arisaka, .303 British, .30-06, 7.35×51mm Carcano, 7.x62x54R, etc.). The recoil pad stretches and slides easily over the butt of a wide variety of firearms with its one-size-fits-all sleeve. The material is made of a soft stretchy material similar in appearance and feel to neoprene. The pad is also very low profile and does not noticeably increase your length of pull (a big plus for me). I chose this pad due to not wanting a tighter rubber pad to wear out a portion of the buttstock finish of my rifles over time. The pad appears sturdy and well-made and will last me many many rounds on the range. 5 stars, so do yourself a favor and buy one!

Great Product That Does What It Claims.
After getting a used 375 H&H Magnum, I took it to the range, fired 3 rounds, and knew that I either needed to find a solution, or get rid of the rifle because the recoil was so painful (I'm 6'0" and about 205 pounds).I talked to my local gunsmith, who suggested putting several hundred dollars of work into the rifle to make it manageable (new pad, stock-work, muzzle brake). I really didn't want to do that. So I went looking for other solutions and ran across this product. I didn't really think it would tame the rifle, but I figured spending 20-something dollars was worth a shot.Today I used it for the first time and was able to put about 50 rounds down range with no problem. The recoil is now as manageable as my 30-06--which is very manageableSimply put, this is an excellent product for an excellent that does what it says. If your rifle's recoil is too much, buy this. You'll be glad.

Saved my shoulder
I have a 12 gauge Mossberg for home defense. Shooting it at the range was no fun due to the recoil into my shoulder (felt that for days...) This pad definitely slows the impact so that the it doesn't hurt. The pad was difficult for me to put on my shotgun because the butt was a rubberized plastic, so there was a lot of grip; I can imagine that a smooth wood stock would slide in more easily. But, the elastic lip was very tight and required a lot of stretching. I was worried that the seams might rip, but they didn't and I doubt this pad would ever come off accidentally. I love it, but it does add a little more length to the shotgun and that will make it harder for a small person to properly handle a large firearm (which my wife experienced)
