This is what you need! I only got about 1700 ft with the standard antenna. (I have a phantom 3 standard and remote). With this antenna, I got out to over 11700 ft! Two and quarter miles! I am way impressed! Granted I was on the pinnacle of the highest peak and had to keep the antenna aimed at the phantom very carefully, but I pulled it off. The only thing I don’t like about the antenna is the mounting bracket. The slide on bracket is bad. Would be better if clamps were tightened on with wing nuts to avoid slipping off.

The only reason it gets less than 5 stars, is completely zero documentation / install instructions. This modification will have you opening up your remote control, drilling holes, VERY CAREFULLY scraping away silicon from 3 very tiny connectors, and removing the existing antennas completely. If you are a bit techy and have no trepidation working with small electronics, I'd highly recommend. If you don't have experience with these things, I'd pass, and save yourself messing your controller up. First flight I extended my range from 2,669 ft (813.5 m) to 6,437 ft (1962 m).

Product without a doubt worked with my DJI Phantom 3 4K... Install was a hastle due to not having any knd of instruction but there was enough all over to get this done... Range has been extended as described... A great addon for the Droner....

It took me a couple hours at installing this antenna to my Phantom 3 4k edition controller. As a reminder there are 4 models in the Phantom 3 lineup. Standard, 4k, Advance and Professional. This antenna fits only the 4k edition, not standard/advance or pro. The 4k edition controller has one 5.8ghz black cable and two 2.4ghz gray cables. Port 1 on the itelite antenna is for the 5.8ghz wire, port 2 and 3 is for the 2.4ghz wires. I had to look that up on some phantom forum since this product has no explanation or installation documentation at all with the product. YouTube will help but there are almost no videos of the 4k edition controller so you can learn from other models. My controller would be spotty or lose video transmission at around 300 - 400 feet in elevation and after adding this I was getting to 800 ft without major signal issues. I didn't want to take it any higher but the video transmission was a lot better than before.
