Break over and over again. Stay away!
Sick and tired of buying these and having them break time and time again. Almost all of them have just all of the sudden stopped working, obviously from wire disconnects, etc. Have probably had 5 of these in the past couple if years, including two gen 2 that I thought would solve the problems with the gen 1s. It didn't. Stay away. They're too expensive and not well made. Get a pair of those fleece headband ones. They never break and are less than half the price

They are certainly more comfortable to sleep in than traditional earbuds
I have been using my bedphones for several weeks now. They are certainly more comfortable to sleep in than traditional earbuds, but I still think they have some room for improvement. The speaker portion is nice and flat and with a bit of adjustment to the ear wire I was able to get them to lay flat and comfortably. The thicker piece of black plastic that connects the ear wire to the blue cord does become very uncomfortable over night. It is thick and hard and tucks right between my ear and my skull. I will certainly continue to use these and have recommended them to friends, but I hope to see that join addressed on the next version so I can upgrade.

Device designed for bed...I expected a little more
SO far these headphones are good. Since they were designed to be worn to bed, I kind of expected them to be better fitting (even though they are adjustable). The wire bends to fit your ear but it not a snug fit like an ear bud at all. The loudness is diminished since they are not flat against your ears. So while they are suitable they are not the best solution. I had a pair of the wooden ear buds that sounded better and were fairly comfortable. They just do not hold up to sleeping with them for longer than perhaps a year. If these outlast my old set then it might be worth the over $50.00 price point. If I change my mind, or something changes about how these work, I will update the review. But for cost vs. what was advertised? I cannot see more then 3/5 stars. Oh and instructions were clear and concise. Packaging was great and seller shipped promptly. *** Update: 02/07/2014 - This company really seems to want to satisfy their clients! I like that attitude. They made some good suggestions for better fit. I upped my rating to 4 from 3. They do take a little more getting used to but I am liking them and will give another update after I have used these for another few weeks.

Perfect for side sleepers
Great fit and they don't slip around while sleeping. They have a decent quality sound and works great for sleeping. I highly suggest that you not monkey around with the ideal fit first time. Put them on, lay down and see how they feel right away. If they need slight adjusting take them off and adjust to what feels best, not to what looks best. These do not slip off while sleeping and you can adjust the sound level easily. In ear earphones create deafness far to easy where these lay on the ear allowing extraneous sound to filter in.

I'm on the fence...
The first set of Bedphones Gen. 2 Sleep Headphones that I received, one of the speakers didn’t work at all, so the company sent me a second set. Immediately I checked the Bedphones out and both of them worked perfectly fine. I was definitely surprised that the company was so willing to send out a replacement. The first thing that I noticed about the Bedphones Headphones was the fact that they had their own cute little carrying case. It’s black and sleek and has two little mesh pockets on the inside and it zips up. Inside the case you’ll find your Bedphones with replacement foam pieces for the headphones and a sleep eye mask. I like that the headphones come with extra foam pieces. After a while, those things get grimy or they fall off and get lost, so it’s nice that if I lose one or it gets gross, I can change it out.The Bedphones Headphones are easy to use – you put the foam headphone on your ear and then shape the rubber-coated moldable memory wire earhook so they’ll be customized for you. Once you have done that for both ears, put the wire behind your head and you should be good to go. I say “should” because although it’s easy to customize the headphones to fit you, that doesn’t mean they’re going to stay. I had a hell of a time trying to get them to stay in place and actually being able to hear my music. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the concept. I think if they were as easy to use and worked as well as they are described that they would be amazing. The music is incredibly hard to hear and I think that has to do with the way they fit and not to mention the fact that they just rest against your ear. I’m a an earbud lover, it’s about the only type of headphones that I’ll use. There was no way that I was going to try to use the Bedphones Headphones while going to sleep. When I’m sitting up, I can somewhat hear the music and they somewhat stay on. But when I laid down, they fell off or just felt really weird. You’ll pay $50+ for the Bedphone Headphones, which is way too steep of a price for my liking.Overall, I’m really on the fence about the Bedphone Headphones. I do love the concept immensely and think with some changes that these would be perfect. The price would have to be dropped a lot as well for me to be able to feel comfortable purchasing the product.*I was sent the item in exchange for my honest opinion. All the opinions expressed here are my own.*

Easily fall off ears
It's nice that these earbuds are flat so when you're laying down in bed, you can do so comfortably. But I find that they don't stay on your ears very well and have a tendency to fall off unless you have the wires bent super tight around your ears.
