Does What It Should
We have a number of automatic chicken doors, which are life savers. So when we got geese (giant dewlap Toulouse) a goose door was a no-brainer. This door was easy to install and it works exactly as intended. We already had experience with this kind of device. Our giant geese waddle in and out with no problem - they do have to duck somewhat. They are taller than the door. But their big booties make it through just fine. The only disappointment was that you can’t manually raise or lower the door without putting something darkening over the unit - no convenient button. We are used to having that functionality on our chicken doors. But it’s a small issue we work around. Overall I would buy this again.

Simple to install, works greatJust ordered a second unit but this one I will have to modify to allow turkeyonly downfall : small door opening won't allow a turkey to use.Wish the door was larger to allow turkeys to use the door

unabe to locate any customer service for failed unit
The door worked fine for a year. Then it stopped abruptly with the loss of birds. I replaced the optical sensor and it worked for 2 days, and failed again with the loss of another bird. No schematics are available on line. Nothing is visibly broken. Amazon website says "limited lifetime warranty". Big deal. There is no one to process any warranty. This acts like typical cheap Chinese junk, but it looks like its actually cheaply made German junk. WAY OVERPRICED JUNK.
