Very strong in terms of magnet strength! We have been enjoying these with our kid. We actually purchased four sets of these to expand our ever-growing collection of PicassoTiles. In terms of safety, I would play with these under supervision for any children under the age of three because of how strong the magnet is. It could easily pinch tiny fingers because as an adult, is sure pinched mine when I least expected it – Ouchies! I do wish they were cheaper but quality-wise I can understand their price point. Absolute fun for kids and adults of all ages!
