I have used this product before and was very happy with it this one not so much within 1 week of have it found out it was defective contacted the company and they confirmed this and then told 1st thing I would have to be without power for 3 weeks waiting for it to be repaired 2nd that I had to go through amozon for warrenty i tried that there site says i buy a new one then send this back for a return i dont have the funds to due this of course now that's its past 30 days i got a unit that is defective and cant be without power that long so cant get it fixed it's real annoying listening to its fan come on and off 24 hours a day it does this with no load at all at very cool temperatures and is not supposed to also under even a 1 amp load fan stays on even if cold this is defective unit just wish i could get it replaced under the warrenty that seems to be useless either i go without or buy another i cannot afford that's not a good warrenty 1 week to ship to dealer 10 days in shop 1 week to send back that is not acceptable not to mention the 140 mile drive to have it shipped

I bought this for my mom's off grid house and it works so good for the price I purchased one more for backup at my house. I have the more expensive aims inverter that I paid about $700 for and now it's selling for $1,000. I would probably just use this cheap one at my house until I was able to buy a new replacement if my never goes out. My $700 aims inverter has been in my house for 5 or 6 years no problem working twenty-four hours a day 365 days a year. I'm very happy with Ames products. All my friends spent the big bucks for Outback in other names like that and mine has been working just fine for as long as my friends

This inverter drains off 600ma when it is off but left connected. to the batteries. Most of that leakage is to ground. The cooling fan also run almost continually even at only 260 watts wasting energy. The modified wave form does not run my RV's 1300W MW at full power. I don't use it when on the inverter because I am afraid it will get damaged. The inverter does run my 1.4kw water pump ok.

First I bought AIMS 5000 watt inverter. Now, 7 years latter I needed a 2000 watt inverter. Since my first one is still working everyday I knew where to get my next one. The new one installed easy and is working now.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this unit. Big value for $280. I added battery backup for my sump pump using this inverter to power the sump motor. It's display meter tells how your battery is doing so you don't run it down. I think this is much better than the usual 12 v pumps that can't lift the water out of your basement. We rarely lose our power so it is not worthwhile to get a big generator. This 3000 watt unit will power my fridge and sump pump for a few hours or days.

Good inverter but wish they would tell you why it’s not good for certain electric devises like Electric fans or heaters. They buzz like crazy when on inverter power. Does pull a good load under surge.

To big for a regular truck. Don't need one this big battery want pull it. Low voltage alarm goes off shortly after using. Perfect for multi battery vehicles

Purchased it last year and now it's dead, when i received this product the 110 sockets did not work so I had to hard wire it directly, Yesterday May 5 2018 the fan stopped working, now it does not even turn on no lights nothing, tested the fan and it was dead, was going to replace the fan but the system refuses to run on, also these AIMS inverter cycles the fan for no good reason the Inverter is on IDLE all the time and the fan would periodically turn on if you check the system it's not even warm I have a smaller 1200 watt that does the same silly thing.I really like the build quality of this inverter and it's small and compact. now i have to resort to a Tiger Claw 3000 Watt that i purchased on the cheap just as a stand by, I cannot return this product because I live in South America it would cost more than the price of it to ship it back

Not installed permanently yet , I tested temporary and worked perfectly. I will liked a Pure Sine one!! $$$
