I think these things are awesome. After ordering and loving our first set, we ordered a second set so that we could have some to put on while we washed the first set. These are soo much better than the sticky pads or nail in pads that have stick on pads attached to them. We were constantly having trouble with those coming off, wearing thin, or getting filthy and being difficult to clean off. I was even able to fit these over some quite large legs on a bench and living room chair. They do slide down some and have to be pulled back up. I took photos of them the way I found them and, especially on the white high chair, you can see that they had slid down some. I pulled them up for the next photo for comparison. They need to be washed again. We throw them in the washer and put on our back up set every one to two weeks. I wish they would come out with something like this for rocking chairs and other long rectangular furniture feet. Notice the wide variety of leg sizes these work for!

I bought these based on a recommendation from a face book cleaning group I belong to. After years of frustration with the felt sticky pads I finally found a solution. These socks are awesome. I purchased a pack for my table chairs. Using foam pads they would fall off and leave sticky residue on my wood floors. With the socks you slip them on and your done. If they get real dirty you can toss them in the wash. I live in the country surrounded by farms and we have a lot of dust. I have had mine over a month and have not had to wash them yet. When I clean my floors I dust the socks off by hand and good as new. I purchased a second pack to put on some bar stools and my table legs. The inside of the socks have little rubber traction dots to keep them on the leg of table/chair. These are one of the best purchases I have made on amazon. Wish I found them years ago. Highly recommend them.

We have beautiful hardwood floors we didn’t want to get damaged by people scraping their kitchen chairs. We had tried all the adhesive sliders but they would fall off pretty quickly and we kept having to replace them.These chair socks fit well over our square legged chairs. They do fall down and pool at the base of the chair but they don’t come totally off and they do the job of keeping our floors scratch free.

I was a bit skeptical in purchasing "sweaters" for my chair legs, but I have to say that most people that have been here haven't really noticed until I have pointed them out. They make the chairs glide much smoother and quieter on the wood floors than those annoying sticky pads that never seemed to work well. I haven't had any issues with them falling down or off. My dining room chairs have odd shaped front legs and they fit on them when I couldn't find any other type of scratch resistant product to fit. I haven't had to take them off yet to wash, so may have to do a follow-up review. Happy so far!

After a year of battling with the stick felt pads that would just flip off then leaving sticky residue and scratches on my hardwood floors. I finally decided to look into alternatives and landed on these. These are awesome because I don't have to worry about all those marks anymore.The only downfall of my purchase is not realizing that the leg of my chairs are different from front and back. It took a bit longer for me to put on the front legs because they were wider and every so often it will slide down a bit but it did not ever come off.

With bamboo floors, scratches are a real headache. I bought these as a trial since I've tried all the peel and stick and various other items that claim they will help. These are amazing. They are snug and do not slip off. I have adjusted the socks only once and I've had them for a few months. They wear well. We modified them by keeping the peel and stick things on the bottom of the chair legs for extra padding. I'd buy them again if I ever needed to, but that will be a long time as they are made well.

I know it may be a little premature, as I just got these today, but i love them.I live in an apartment, with wood floors. I'm super self-conscious about the scraping of our chairs on the floor. I know it resonates to the apartment beneath us, and it can damage the floor. I also added a little felt circle to the chair leg before putting the sock on. It is so quiet and smooth to pull and push the chair.Now if I could only get the people upstairs to buy some for themselves....and their shoes, lol

These 'socks' work great on stools or chairs that are being used on wood floors. Especially if the legs of the stools are also dark brown. You don't even see them. The do a very good job of protecting both the floor as well as the stool. Given their affordability, I'd recommend buying two sets. That way you can alternate sets when you wash them.

These fit perfectly on the wooden chair legs and legs of the table. They stay and do not slip off.
