Update International AS-12 Aluminum Multi Purpose Scoop 12 oz Silver

I'm using this to scoop compressed hay cubes (horse feed); the cubes are very densely compressed and are roughly 1.5" x 1.5" x 2.5" max (some are smaller). The biggest ones especially are very hard to scoop with a standard plastic horse feed scoop, which is not really strong enough and also has a blunt edge. This scoop works very well for this purpose; it has a beveled front edge (I guess to help break up ice cubes) and a very sturdy, comfortable handle. The handle initially seemed short but I quickly got used to it. Now to sizing...the page I ordered from said the scoop was "1.75 x 4 x 2.63 inches." I realized that couldn't possibly be correct and went by what customer reviews said...which didn't turn out correctly either. The scoop I ordered is stamped (into the metal) "24 oz" and it is 10.5" long (the whole thing), 3.75" wide at the widest point of scoop (close to handle), and 3.5" wide where the scoop begins to narrow quickly to the scooping end. I think the seller is lumping reviews for all sizes of this scoop onto one page. I actually would have preferred a slightly larger scoop but this one really works fine, especially to feed just one horse, plus I expect it will last forever. I wish the seller would improve their product size descriptions--it might improve sales!

We bought one not really knowing the size and it was way too small. This one is nice and big and gets the job done in one scoop. Perfect!!

i actually purchased this because of size, weight of product & ease of cutting it. Modified by cutting off handle and end of scoop to attach to a long hollow aluminum rod to scoop up rocks out of water. I also used the cut off pieces to form a secondary scoop to the main scoop to help feed the rocks into.this fit the bill.waterproof, lightweight, durable, malleable, easy to drill for screw holes & drain holes.oh, I have these for food scoops also...works great for that purpose too. LOL.yes, recommend

I use this for gardening and it works great. The scoop is sturdy and will not rust. Only complaint is that the handle is only a couple of inches long. It really should be two inches longer and a bit thicker for it to be useful.

I was previously using various sized round plastic measuring cups to fill glasses with bagged ice from the freezer, but that was inefficient and sometimes awkward due to their round shape. This 5 ounce scooper's size and shape is perfect. The ice slides easily into a glass without excess spillage onto the counter or floor. I also like the grooved handle.

Solid, one piece design super large hand scoop/trowel, comfortable handle and weight. I've been gardening for 23 years and always wished I could find a really large (but not overly heavy and awkwardly handled) scoop like this one for scooping potting soil, compost, amendments out of bags/boxes and for mixing them, and filling pots quickly. This is just what I needed. Well made. Highly recommend.

I have a couple of these in 24 ounce and recently purchased a few 38 ounce ones, as we needed additional scoops and a bit larger size would help. These are much bigger than I expected!I like these metal scoops because they are sturdy, work well, and decent price. They will see much better longevity than the thin plastic scoops. We've used these for dry pet food, bird food, and potting soil bags.
