Decorative Paint & Faux Finishes Paperback – June 1, 2006

Hello people - Basic fundamentals make it all easy.Of the ten items I rated the routine runs constant. Although nothing is perfect these 'American Made' top the list of products currently available that are not found in 'Bargain Dollar' type and retail Box Stores.Made in China means trash. A very short life span, diminished quality, under a brand name once considered reliable. We are being robbed by guess who? Vultures Capitalists who buy factories, and ship them overseas, and the products return to the store shelves seamlessly. The displaced workers loose everything and the inverters laugh, as does Mitt Romney.End of story.

I have a collection of how to stencil, faux paint, etc., in book form, and some are DVDs. This book is amazing in the scope it covers. I refer to it constantly. I checked it out of the library and then had to have my own copy. If you are a beginner, try this book. If you are more secure in your abilities, this is still a good reference book. Highly recommended.

I think this is probably a good book, but as a beginner I will have to spend some time learning to use it before I can realistically rate it. It does have a skill level table that hopefully will identify the easier techniques to try first.

Its very basic, good for beginners

I was looking to repaint some olive colored walls, but do more than just another color. This book has great ideas for different faux finishes and multiple photos for each technique. I'm going to do the linen technique. Feel confident it will turn out well with the information provided in the book.

Great book. Covers many styles. Very helpful if you want to do your own faux finishes.
