House of Gucci is inspired by the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. When Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), an outsider from humble beginnings, marries into the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel the family legacy and triggers a reckless spiral of betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately … murder.Bonus Features:The Rise of the House of Gucci: Making OfThe Lady of the HouseStyling House of Gucci

Loved It!
Such a good movie! It reminds me of Waiting to Exhale how Angela Bassett's character Bernadine was married and she helped her husband build his business but he ended up leaving her for a white woman. That experience set her on a journey of purging to get through her pain. Well judging by how this woman Patrizia helped her idiotic husband step into a powerful position within his family's business only to wind up betrayed by him really takes the cake. He resented her for breaking up his family, but he cheated with another woman with no conscience or remorse. She knew her husband had the potential to be bigger than he was. Now I feel like when he said he was happy cleaning trucks she should have just kept the simple happy married life. But we as women always desire to help our partners reach their highest potential. But be careful what you wish for because he became a cold heartless AH towards her. This story also reminds me of the true story of Betty Broderick. This form of revenge is justified because men should not be allowed to leave their wives for their mistresses and get away with the emotional pain and torment they cause. I actually felt sorry for Patrizia, but ultimately she got the last laugh. They kept reminding her that she wasn't a real Gucci and she was like if I can't be apart of of this, neither can you! If you think about it from the psychic Pina's point of view Patrizia was supposed to be apart of the dynasty. They denied her the life she desired to live with her husband and so it was like if she couldn't be apart of this dynasty neither can they. She got the last laugh because none of them ended up with the company. That's how you know they got in the way of her destiny. But now the joke is also on all of them because the company is a huge success without any of them. She wasn't a gold-digger, there's nothing wrong with wanting a successful husband and financial security. You could tell she really loved him. Lady Gaga gave an outstanding performance. I will admit the accents in this movie weren't perfect, in fact they were pretty funny. I did love Jared as Paolo, so funny! So funny she told them to get the mistress out of her house! That was a happy ending for me! lol

Good Movie
I really enjoyed this movie, I had read a book about the Gucci family and I really liked this movie. I think the actors were a good pick and the show was well developed. I would recommend this if you are into dramas and or the fashion world is interesting to you.

I was super underwhelmed
I finally decided to watch House of Gucci to see what all the hype had been about. All I can say really is that I felt very underwhelmed by this film and it's not a film that needed to be in existence.Overall, Lady Gaga was panned for overacting as Patrizia. I wholly disagree with the critics and I felt Gaga was terrific, especially in the later scenes. However, compared to the subtlety of Adam Driver's Maurizio, whose performance I personally found to be uninspiring and flat, Gaga seemed certainly very lively.Pacino was Pacino, a fine performance as one would expect. I had been extremely leery of Jared Leto as Paulo Gucci thinking his portrayal might border on a campy ludicrous embarrassment but honestly after watching the film, I would say he stole the show. I do not feel any actor could have brought what Leto brought, coming from someone who is not a big Leto fan; and he infused some much-needed humor into an otherwise stale venture.I guess if I dug deep within my soul I could find some higher truth to the film but more or less House of Gucci was just surface for me, junk, sweetie, like those fake flea market hand bags. I give it 3 stars and I would not watch it again.

The Oscars got it wrong again
After watching The House of Gucci, I can't stop thinking how blind and dumb the Academy Award voters were to snub this film.Gaga can act. And she steals every scene she's in as Patrizia, the unappreciated and vengeful wife to her husband, Mauritizio Gucci, former law student and heir to the Gucci fashion line. Their story begins in 1978. Patrizia meets Mauritizio at a party and its love at first sight. His father played by a Jeremy Irons, thinks Patrizia is mafia and a low life gold digger so he throws him out and soon Mauritizio is working for Patrizia's dad at his famiky trucking business. They marry and have a child and then Mauritizio's dad dies, leaving the young couple with an opportunity. They conspire to steal the company away from Mauritzios Uncle Aldo, played by Al Pacino. But its an unrecognizable Jared Leto as Aldo's simple and trusting son who steals the movie.I won't spoil the ending. But I think this is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Ridley Scott directs with a finess and focus on human relationships in the environment of a dysfunctional family and a dying business. The italian and Swiss backdrop is gorgeous too. I'll never look at a Gucci purse the same way again.

Wow!
What a mess. One woman destroyed an entire family. When offered parole, she turned it down saying she never worked a day in her life and wasn't going to start now.

Toller Film

AN ABSORBING WATCH
A strange absorbing tale of the Gucci dynasty based on real events starring Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggian and Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci supported byscreen-legends Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci and Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci..Telling the story of how young Maurizio falls for Patrizia considered by Maurizio'sfather below his sons standing. But, the two lovers marry anyway despite Maurizio apparently being disinheritedfrom his father 50% share in the Gucci empire the other half controlled by Aldoand Paolo Gucci (Jared Leto)Before Rodolfo's death he reconciles with his son Maurizio, meaning inheritanceis restored.Patrizia try's to muscle-in on the decisions made within the empire, which triggersa power struggle. The story becomes of control, greed and deception which will tear he Gucci's apart.Well worth a viewing though in my view a little too long, however, better than somesuggest.........judge for yourselves.+
