Perfect
Too short but I almost expected more out of this one compared to the other MoH games on PS2 and PC, it's not to bad but it does pack an intense FPS experience, in my opinion, this is an overall great MoH game the fact that I do love all the intense missions that this game has to offer on the PS2 system. I'd recommend this because most of the missions on this game is based on teamwork because most of the time you are with your fellow Rangers.

For the paystation there is none better
Without a doubt, the MoH series for the Playstation is unbeatable. there is nothing written any better than these historically accurate games. This is a necessity if you like history, or war games.

this game is awful
The last level with the snipers made me rage quit to never pick it up again. The lack of check points is brutal and not to mention the game makes you start the level all over again if you decide to quit instead of starting you off at your last check point. Games should be fun not brutally difficult chore.

Bad control for a decent shooter
I bought this game around last month from Amazon and played through the campaign mode; which is all this game offers and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this game for a few reasons: here's my review- Graphics- The graphics are pretty good for a PS2 game. In fact, I'd say it looks much better than previous MOH efforts for PS2 such as MOH- Frontline and European Assault. Sadly, it does not look better than MOH- Rising Sun which I thought looked fantastic based on scale and the smoothness of it's graphics. With that said, MOH- Vanguard still looks good. The backgrounds aren't simply just drab WW2 efforts, but are given some detail such as enemy positions that are really dug in thanks to barbed wire or chunks of rocks and barricades. The backgrounds themselves are large with just enough scale to make this game appear "huge" sadly, when actually playing this game, the aspect ratio needs lots of work. A so called wide room doesn't look so wide because your gun model are huge and everything seems crammed. This game offers some explosions, but they really don't look good, in fact, it just looks like cheap smoke effects that dissipate too fast. There's no destruction physics. Shooting at a wall will sometimes leave a flat pixellated hole; but nothing more. The graphics are a mixed bag of tricks. Sound- The sound is good. Actually some of the best parts about this game. Guns sound good. The explosions are loud and sound full of impact. Nothing to complain about. Even the dialogue is good but short. Gameplay- This is where MOH vanguard fails. First off, if you're used to playing new FPS's, the targeting and aiming in this game is terrible. The animation is way too jerky which hinders you actually pulling off an accurate shot/head shot. There's not even an aim assist option which makes playing this game an analog stick battle to end all analog stick battles. MOH vanguard tries to pit you against Nazis en masse, but the problem is, due to PS2' graphical limitations and all the detail given to gun models and what not, there's a maximum or 4 enemies on screen at once. In the end, you're shooting against a few guys in a big open space. The execution of gun fights in this game lacks finesse and there's no excuse for this game being so limited. (This isn't a PS1) The campaign has a few missions and is short, but takes some skill to get past. I'd give the campaign at least 8 hours tops to beat or possibly more depending on the difficulty. At higher difficulties, this game is brutal. Thankfully, it does feature regenerating health unlike other MOH offerings, but at high difficulties, getting shot a few good times equals bye bye. With that said, the AI isn't exactly the best so completing this game is about average at best. When done completing the game, you can replay missions of the campaign or play multiplayer which is below average at best and thanks to the terrible control and framerate of this game, multiplayer is also couch style multiplayer with multitap rather than online just like all the other MOH titles beforehand. In all honesty, I'd stray away from this version and get the Wii version for better control, graphics and actual online capabilities. But if you're just looking to enjoy a WW2 shooter and aren't picky about the technical issues I pointed out, this version is probably cheaper brand new and isn't too bad of a choice, it's just nothing truly special in comparison to the many FPS's out there or the ones available for PS2. (Such as Black, Cold Winter etc)

Good Game. Not as good as its predecessors
Overall, very good game. Not disappointing but it has several opportunities for enhancements. The level of difficulty is very VERY low when compared to previous medals of honors. Nice interaction with the environment (you can shoot a light bulb and it will break) but is not the same when attacking the enemy (you can not destroy visibly fragile wood boxes behind which Germans are hiding, etc). You definitely have to play this game if you are a medal of honor fanatic but i don't believe it will be your favorite. at least it was not my favorite medal of honor game.
