Destiny extreme blast mode is a very worthwhile kit.
Destiny extreme blast mode is a very worthwhile kit. It has excellent articulation all around and a great deal of accessories which give it a lot of variety. The chrome coated parts look really good and the gold, dry transfer decals add a great deal of depth and detail to an already excellent model. The wings of light, although difficult to connect, look spectacular. They are pink and blue transparent plastic with a gas-like effect in the right light or angle. The wings also dramatically increase destiny's wingspan and create a very imposing appearance. It comes with its own stand, similar to the one included with mg strike freedom and the backpack connection in very secure. Mg destiny extreme blast mode even comes with 3-inch transparent figures of shin and kira, which is a nice touch. An often mentioned flaw in this kit is the switch under the legs, which admitedly doesn't work that well, but it also doesn't detract from the model in any way and should not be seen as a deal breaker. Mg destiny extreme blast mode is a winner and a new favourite in my small but killer gunpla collection. Get one now, the price has never been better ($60!).

A little expensive but worth it
Well the master grade model of the destiny gundam is out and sure enough like the strike freedom before it they have made two versions. The "extreme blast mode" version comes with chrome parts some extra clear display parts for the weapons and a some extra figurenes. But lets face it if your getting it, your getting it for the wings. Two beautiful semi clear energy with that attach to wings of the model kit. Lit correctly this gundam looks as good as any kit ever made. The only complaints I have with this model kit are the price (blame the japanese for that) and that wings don't fit easily onto the model. It takes a lot of work to get them on there and for them to stay, and the instructions don't help much. But once you get them on it really makes for a spectacular display. In closing if you want to spend the extra money realize what your getting, two really cool wings and some other stuff you could do without.

A Date with Destiny.
I had originally bought this kit along with the Gundam Master Grade Infinite Justice Gundam 1/100 Scale Model Kit, but, as luck would have it, the vendor I bought it from was sold out at the time. Fortunately for me, I came across an online vendor who had it, and for a good price. And let me tell you, I was all over that like a hobo on a ham sandwich. After waiting about 2 weeks for it to arrive (it shipped straight from Japan), I wasted absolutely no time in building it, doing a full initial assembly in around 20 hours (sanding and polishing, still working on the paint supplies), and results were breathtaking. Everything about the kit was an absolute joy to handle, from the holographic Wings of Light to the internals. And, as is the norm with these Master Grade kits, the range-of-motion is near-flawless (can't say perfect, as it does fall short in a couple areas), allowing most any pose that comes to mind. Additionally, the kit comes with various effect parts, like the aforementioned Wings of Light parts, expanding the potential poses from a few sword swings and firing stances to various throwing poses, Palm Fiocina thrusts, and many others.Long story short, I'd buy this kit again, just because it was so much fun.-A bonus recommendation, get a couple Gundam Action Base 1 MG HG Black, and toss in either Gundam Master Grade Infinite Justice Gundam 1/100 Scale Model Kit or Gundam MG Strike Freedom Gundam Full Burst Mode Scale 1/100 and let 'em duke it out; the stands are interconnectable, making it easier for showdown dioramas!

The base kit is amazing, the extreme blast mode part no so much.
The kit is solid, aged well, possible and really cool overall. The extras you get in this edition are bad. The wing effects fall off easy and detach, the hand lasers arenโt in blue and come in transparent. I really recommend it but build the whole thing, pose it, and then attach.

Beautiful!
Takes a bit of patience in some assembling areas but definitely worth it! ๐๐

For under 60 it's a great price. Only a few downsides
For under 60 it's a great price. Only a few downsides: the base is a tiny bit unstable (you can always get an action base though), the wings of light don't go in easy (once you get them in they stay though) and at least on mine the hands joints are a bit too tight and make it hard to swap hands. The better news is it has the standard MG articulation, I haven't had any pieces falling off, has a very firm grip on its weapons (of which there are so many) and comes with a crap ton of extras. Definitely the definitive version of the Destiny Gundam.
