Carwires MJ200C – Premium Car Audio Cassette Adapter with 1M / 3.28FT Audio Cable

I used to have to get these replaced every few months because they would start making a really unpleasant fuzzy noise whenever they were used or the cord would break, but this one's still working for me. What I've found is that, for some reason, iPhone aux ports tend to shorten the lifespan quicker (I have an Android, but I would notice the issues didn't start until my friends with iPhones used it). Dongles are a lifesaver if you want this to last. As far as sound quality goes, the higher the volume on your phone, the more bassy but less clear it is, and the higher the volume of the car speakers, the less bass and more shrill it is, so you really have to find the right balance of both, but when you do, it does sound very good.

Purchased to play audio from my Android phone through the high-end sound system of my 1996 Lexus LS-400 "family member" (180,000 miles and counting!). Required a 3-way C-type adapter to transmit through the 3.5 mm connector of the cassette device because the Moto Z model phones have no headphone jack. Initially, the sound was intermittent; the telephone chat with the seller's technical representative was helpful, but I isolated the problem to the 3-way adapter. With a different C-type adapter in hand, I was able to get modestly-decent audio transmission through the tape deck - pretty tinny, but acceptable - and even worked in the Mercedes rental cars during long-drive golf trips through Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland. Eventually, transmission ceased. After purchasing a new C-type adapter, I realized that the problem actually resided in the 3.5 mm connector; the physical fault is not visible in the wiring connects, but is clearly in the connector. So, nine months later I must purchase either another cassette adapter or a new Lexus with Bluetooth capability!

I had previously bought a Bluetooth Cassette elsewhere but was unsatisfied with the sound quality. After a bit of research, I found the Carwires AUX cassette and am very much satisfied with my purchase! While mixing your own tapes is fun, the handiness of being able to access your mobile playlist through your tape deck is way too cool to pass up! The cassette makes a small bit of noise in the tape deck, but that lessens over time and usually the sounds of driving, the music, or conversation effortlessly drown that out. Excellent sound quality from your AUX connection! Just pop it into your phone's headphone jack and Bob's your uncle.

I seldom write these. On inserting first few times I could not get adapter to stay in radio. Yikes, what do I do? Fit of frustration, I will go through hassle of returning. No, another plan, let’s see what the inner webs has to say about this problem. First solution, get out your screwdriver and open case and remove one of the outermost gears. Done, still ejecting! Upon further reading you can take out all plastic gears inside, however, could cause unit to cease function. Final try, remove all gears save the the center ones that would wind tape in normal cassette. Voila, so far working!

I've read some of the recent reviews of this cable, stating that it's poorly made. Speaking from my own experience, and having used it every day for the past month, I've found just the opposite.I've been using it on a daily basis '02 Camaro SS. It's been subject to extreme conditions, as I've removed it from one device, and put it in the other several times a week. There have been no issues whatsoever, and absolutely no signs that any portion of it may be coming apart.The sound quality from my iPhone 6plus is great , and has never wavered. It fits into the 3.5mm aux ports perfectly, and exactly the same as the day I purchased it.I was happy to also see that they offer a 1 year warranty on this adapter, it's good to know they stand behind their products. As for this adapter, the bottom line is that it works perfectly, and continues to do so despite my subjecting it to almost daily abuse.

First off, I'm impressed that it worked in my 23 year old car's cassette player. And it works very well, I dare say the best quality we can get from a tape to aux as of now. There is a slight clinking noise as it runs, but not too noticeable. But I've only used it for a couple of weeks...

First use, I inserted the cassette in the obvious way the cord was coming out of it. Static, feedback, horrible noises. This is a smart gizmo; they designed it well. There is a channel in the top of the cassette that allows you to change the direction the cable feeds out. After changing the cable to be accessible out the other end, I flipped the cassette over, popped it in the deck, and it's perfect. Now it sounds better than others previously used. None of this type adapters sounds fantastic. This is a good choice for not a lot of money.

My first unit had audio issues - with sound only on one side of my vehicle. I noticed other reviewers had similar issues. I emailed the seller and they promptly sent me a replacement unit (free of charge) that works as expected. The audio isn’t perfect (there’s a barely audible buzzing sound when audio isn’t playing regardless of the volume on my phone) but I am very happy with this product given the low price point. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy solution to a lack of audio input options in an older car this is a great fit.

La calidad de audio es impresionante. No sé de qué se quejan en otras opiniones (quizá no saben regular el audio, ya que tienes que ajustar el volumen tanto en tu reproductor mp3 como en tu estéreo para escuchar la música sin distorsiones). Yo estoy satisfecho.
