The MRE is a good standby to have in your storage (some can stay good for 10+ years) for those unplanned occasions since they usually contain a built-in heat source, eating utensils, napkins, condiments...everything one would need for a meal when power is out, etc. I pack a couple of these when I take some of those longer-distance motorcycle rides where there may not be a restaurant near (or opened) when I decide to call it a day...they really taste good at that point!

Had 2/4 so far, no issues except a pack of M&Ms that expired in 2021, but were still edible. Food tasted great, price (<$50) was great, everything exactly as advertised. Would definitely buy again!

These MREs are 3+ years old when you receive them, and MREs only have a shelf life of 3-5 years so don't plan on stocking these away for a rainy day. Each meal has a 4-digit date code stamped on the bottom, you can find a converter online to see the pack date of your meal.They're genuine MREs. If you've had them before, you know what to expect. I received a good assortment of menus with only one duplicate (Menu 10 - chili and macaroni) in my case of 8 meals.Compared to civilian freeze dried backpacker food they're pretty bulky and pretty heavy, but that's offset by the significantly higher calorie count in the package, the included heater pack (no need to boil water), and the side dishes for a little variety.These don't last forever, and the reason they're quasi-legal to sell on Amazon is because most of their shelf life is already used up. Plan on consuming them with the next year after delivery and you should be fine.

Great selection, got some good menus out of this order including the pepperoni pizza.Do remember that if you're buying these to keep for an extended period of time that they're going to be close to out of date -- though in my personal unqualified opinion depending on the menu they'll stay good for a long time if kept well.Anyways, seller "Just_in_time" seems to sell genuine, non-repacked MREs that include all necessary articles.STAY AWAY FROM "L&L DISCOUNT INC.", If you see them look for a different seller. They repack and I was sold two MREs missing items from them.

My 19 year old son has been wanting to try this for some time now. I purchased it as a gift.. Food was AMAZING, If you follow directions food will get hot. It comes with everything from coffee, fork, napkins, tasty peanuts, dried cranberries, the sausage peppers and onions were really good. Definitely will be buying more.Only downside I ordered this for Christmas and it said item would arrive on December 23. It came December 28th . IT CAME5 days later than it was supposed to..

I’ve bought these a few times, currently at about $11 a meal. Not bad. However, you have no say in what meals you get it seems. And there’s certainly some undesirable meals in the rotation.My most recent order I got 4 of the worst. However, todays worst are still a delicacy compared to the ones around 2005..

The shipping was very quick and the meals were a nice variety, but unfortunately the meals are past their prime, they are dated 2018, and 2017. The average MRE is good for 3-5 yrs..so these ones did not smell or taste very good, it's a shame because for 10$ per meal they are not edible at this point. I hate to leave a less than review but I'm sad that these meals are so outdated, and were falsely advertised as 2022 inspection.

The MRE's that I received were all menus I have not tried before and had no duplicates. Everything was in perfect condition and well within the date advertised. What really made me happy was how quick the shipping was. The package showed up a week early, which as most would imagine is always great. Would definitely recommend and order again.
