Nice, modern designed portable air conditioner & works efficiently too in the medium sized rooms!
The media could not be loaded. Portable air conditioners are niche products nowadays but you won't realize the advantage of having such a product in the home until you use it at home and see the power savings compared to the central ACs in a big home. That is the reason I got this product for the already started summer in the city where I live. Got this to use in our master bedroom where we have our kid crib too. I have used it for about a week now and here is my take. I would recommend this product. My 2 cents below:Pros:- It does the job of the air conditioner very well. My bedroom is good sized and this AC was pretty efficient in cooling down the room. But would definitely suggest going for at least the 12,000 BTU model if you plan to use it in a large living/family room- Different levels of fan control and timer features make it a compelling option- Temperature can be adjusted from 59 to 88 degrees- Has a dehumidifier option as well while running AC- Can be used as a fan cooler alone as well instead of turning ON the AC that takes more power - Very fancy looks with digital display and gives a great aesthetic to the home. Not very bulky and have a slim sleek look compared to other option that I have seen - Remote control has all the functionalities controls too and it is handy sometimes when you are on the bed already - Air filters are washable and reusable which would save cost over the period of time- All window installation accessories are included in the package - Great build quality and feels very premium- Detailed manual with all steps and troubleshooting details- Wheels at the bottom makes it very easy to move around if needed- Manufacturer provides a long warranty as wellCons:- It is expensive but this feels to be a one-time investment to save in the long run- It is definitely not very silent & you would for sure head sound in the room but I believe this is with any portable coolers or AC- I wish these had smart features too so that they can connect to WIFI and can be controlled remotely or by using voice assistants (Alexa/Siri/Google Home)- No digital child locks feature in these

Ugh. Pain in the neck window kit, and for a 8k BTU machine, It can’t even cool a small room.
It’s garbage. Don’t buy it. Within a few minutes of setup you discover the first con for this unit. The window kit. It is not universal. If your window is 24”, you are set. Anything more or less, you are going to have to trim it, so keep a saw handy.Threading the exhaust hose was a minor nightmare. After finally getting the flimsy plastic hose firmly connected, I powered on the unit and the leaks started spewing hot air into the apartment. It took an hour and change, plus some insulating tape, to fix this. But don’t move the unit too much! The hose will disconnect immediately if you are not careful. Not very portable. So everything was set, and we powered the unit on.It took hours to drop the room temp down a few degrees. 2 days to drop it 5 degrees. That is when I realized that this is just a glorified cooling fan. It feels great if you are in the direction of the fan, but it doesn’t cool a room very well. They say it’s 8k BTU, but it’s more like a mini version of one. It doesn’t kick in with extra power like window units. I call BS on this claim. As for its quiet claim, yes, it is quiet compared to a window unit. However, an 8k Frigidaire window unit is quiet too, and actually cools a room without any trouble. This air con can’t cool a room, much less a 350sq feet apt. as per their claim. Don’t buy this unit. Avoid at all costs.

Small and lightweight
I got this to replace my old Amazon Basics portable AC and it's been working great. It's a lot smaller, quieter, and lighter. I put my AC on top of my dresser so that the water drain can go out through the window. The Amazon Basics AC was so heavy that I can't lift it onto the dresser on my own. With this VAGKRI AC, I can just lift it up on my own. The drain hole on my old AC was also very finnicky. I had to adapt a water hose onto it in order for it to stay on. It looks like it'll stay on but it's not tight. I'm always afraid it's going to come off. I don't have this worry with this AC.This AC is rated for a 350 sq. ft. room and has kept my 250 sq. ft. room nice and cool. The lower BTU also means it's a lot quieter. Sometimes I just use the dehumidifier function instead of the actual AC function and it feels like the AC is on. I also like that the AC turns off when the room temperature hits the suggested temperature. This is good for energy saving. One of the thing that always bothers me with my older portable AC is the vent that goes on the window. It's a screw on with dedicated holes so it's always hard to get it snug on the window and is always a pain to screw it into place. This one is a thumb screw so I can get it as snug as I need it and it's super easy to adjust.I'm very pleased I got this new AC. Works perfectly for my purpose.

Very good portable AC
This portable air conditioner works very well. It easy to set up although the directions are somewhat sparse (e.g., the directions do not tell you that you may have to cut down the sliding piece in the window kit in order to make the kit fit your window). The unit weighs under 50 lbs and is easy to roll on wheels in order to move it. It is quiet and does a great job cooling the proper size room (not more than 300 sq ft). I had a problem with the unit but found customer service to be very prompt in replying to me, and very responsive and helpful. I received a full refund and ordered a second unit which works perfectly. I recommend this AC.
