Nutty Flavor - Loved it
Bought this brand of Einkorn in July 2022 - stored it in the freezer until earlier this year in 2024. Followed its recipes using a dominant amount of Einkorn to make bread in bread machine - virtually no rise but great flavored, nutty tasting bread with dense texture that sliced well & toasted well. In Oct 2024 used 1 cup Einkorn to 2 cups bread flour using Wheat cycle for a wonderful, nice rising bread with great flavor - nuttiness of Einkorn subdued. Too bad this brand isn't available through Amazon - expensive as it is - I like supporting a small business in the valley near my home in Northern Virginia.Update 11/2024 - Yeah! its back on Amazon & I'll have some fabulous breads to give for the holidays.

I love this flour. It hasn’t been modified like modern flour so I like that I’m providing healthier baked goods to my family. It has a bit of a unique nutty flavor…very delicious.

Makes great baked goods
I think einkorn is my favorite wheat kernel. It has a great taste. I sent this to my daughter who bakes a lot. She didn't complain about it so it must be great!

Arrived 2 days after being shipped; looks healthy and fresh
I haven't used the product yet but I have used Einkorn flour for over 2 years and love it! This flour looks coarser ground than the prepackaged Einkorn flour I have used in the past; I think I will like it. If I need it to be finer for a recipe I will just put some in my food processor.I like that they sent instructions on how to incorporate this flour into your recipes. It is easy to work with and so much better for you than the flour sold on the shelves in the grocery stores. I am sensitive to flour and I have no trouble when using Einkorn flour and the pasta made from it. I have heard that the fresher the flour the more nutritious the flour is so I thought I would give this a try even though it is twice as expensive as the prepackaged flour. I placed my order for 50 lbs on a Friday, it was ground and shipped out on a Monday and I received it that Wednesday. I am very happy how fresh it still was when I received it. I measured it into 2 lb bags and used my Food Saver to seal it and put it in the freezer.

Product good but packaging failed.
Fresh flour with fast shipping but came with package totally open inside the box leaking out everywhere.

Freeze it after purchase.
This flour does not raise like durum, because of less gluten. It tastes good and makes a dense loaf. Liquid/water should be reduced a little over fifteen percent, because it doesn't absorb quickly. Letting your bread rise a good thirty minutes, then put in a pan for a second rise, works just fine. Will be buying it again. Yes, it is expensive, but I consider it money well spent to eat a better quality bread.

Could Tell Care Was Put Into This Product
I could tell this company put a lot of care into my package. They explained how to use the flour and how it differs from other flours and gave instructions on how to bake with it. The product seems very high quality; the flour looks very fresh, like it was just ground, and I am going to store in the freezer like they suggested. I wont know 100 percent until I taste it but I have a feeling that it will taste very good from the looks of it. I cant wait to bake with it!

Not Quality
I was excited to find organic einkorn berries on Amazon since my usual source for this was out of stock. I have never used a different seller's organic einkorn before using this sellers' product!Unfortunately, I must have received something very sub par to their usual product. The berries themselves smelled dank and old - not at all like the fresh earthy smell I know to expect. When I ground them into flour, my kitchen did not have the pleasing aroma it usually does, but rather a dusty, dirty smell filled the air. The bread that came out of the oven was truly a disappointing divergence from our usual fresh-milled, fresh baked bread. I'm sad to say that this is a very expensive mistake on my part.
