this book was not to my design appreciation. Much seemed cold and overly designed. Not like the past yearswhen Paris interiors were exciting and original, more soulful-

We are downsizing and considering Modern French decor. This book is a great resource and it’s neutral cover lends itself to using as a pretty coffee table book.

Somewhat disappointed.....expected much more. Most spreads are similar to each other, too much white, too many quirky interiors.Not terribly disappointed, though....I guess it will make a nice Christmas gift for someone this December when I recicle the book.

Somewhat disappointing since there were a limited number of designers profiled. But the photography is beautifully done.

Marie Karl is the editor of Architectural Digest France. She’s known as having a very authentic and fresh eye for interior decor - for an uncluttered beautifully simple way of living between glamour and comfort. This book reflects that. If you’re not into this style, the book will have little meaning for you. Otherwise, it’s a snapshot of who’s who in the interior decor world right now who are of the same ilk as Marie Kalt.
