works great
Fit on my telescope & lens hood. Great for photographing the sun. Got some great shots of the eclipse.

Perfect for one time use!
Set up 3 cameras and a telescope to watch the solar eclipse and got some great shots using this filter. Found it much easer to take off during full darkness than the screw on more expensive filters I used. Pressed for time this thing worked perfectly!

Worked well for the solar eclipse
A last minute scramble for a filter led me to this product. It fit perfectly on my tamron lens. Picture quality is decent. Worked well for me

Cheap Efficient Great Pics!
I was impressed this worked so well. I used it on my Nikon to shoot the annular eclipse. It worked great. Super easy and secure to slide on and off. My only tip is be sure all the tabs are facing inwards when you assemble- it did not come with very clear instructions on that part.

Does not fit EF 70-200mm!
This was too small for my 70-200mm lens that has a 77mm diameter In the front. According to the listing, this covers a 65mm-89mm exterior diameter. This was a lie. The product is also cheap and easy to rip on set up. I had reached out to the seller about this being compatible with my lens and they never responded. This is a real disappointment with the 2024 eclipse being so close.

Perfect for solar eclipse photos
Perfect last-minute purchase to photograph the eclipse from Iowa. I used it on a 58mm diameter telephoto lens on a Nikon DSLR and added a lens hood that made it around 80mm. The fit was perfect! I found it simple to assemble and plenty sturdy for what I needed. Money well spent!

Does the job
I was looking for a sun filter for my Lumix camera for the recent solar eclipse, and didn't want to spend the $$$ for a screw-on filter for one day of use. This one did the job. Will my photos taken with it be published in scientific magazines? No. But, I have decent pictures to remember the event, one attached.I didn't measure my lens before I ordered so the filter is too large. Fortunately with the eclipse event the camera was pointed up and the filter just sat on the lens. Had it been breezy or windy, I would have had a problem. As it was. at my location we had a lot of clouds for the eclipse and I took far more pictures without any filter -- the clouds did the filtering -- than with the filter so I was glad I didn't spend the big bucks on a "real" solar filter. The filter is purported to be assembled to be used and then unassembled to store and transport it. The case of the filter is just cardboard and won't take a lot of handling before it breaks down. I do not plan to flatten the filter. Plus, it is a bit of a fight to get all the side parts hooked to one another so it isn't a quick procedure. In short, if you need a simple solar filter for a one-off event, this will probably do it for you. Any other application and it probably won't stand up to much repeated use.
