Great during the daytime, the photos are crisp, clear and colorful at posted car speeds and are fun to review. Night time video satisfaction was not as great. In high ambient light of a big city where there are a lot of businesses, all the activity in front of the car and on the sides shows up crisply and with some colors too, but in medium to low ambient lighting the video does not capture people on the sidewalks, not even an outline of them, not even when they are within 5 feet of the car. This surprised me for situations of medium ambient light as the camera performed well otherwise. If a person stepped out in front of your car at night, I'm sure it would capture that, but not the circumstance leading up to that in medium light. I'm defining medium ambient lighting as areas of mixed small business with some residential scattered in. i.e. areas you could see to walk in ok without a flashlight.Customer support quickly responded to my inquiry about night time medium ambient light and advised me to a) turn the flash on (and how to do that) and b) use my high beams, but that is not legal for city driving.When driving in rural areas or small towns with low ambient lighting at night, the video appears as driving through a tunnel of darkness even with high beams on. Everything immediately in front of the car is shown, but nothing on the sides. Good for capturing a crash , but won't capture an animal at the side of the road. Of course other cars contribute their light too to the video, so any interactions with other cars does get captured at night on the video and lessens the tunnel affect.The Quick Start, out of the box worked well, but their English translation needs improvement-- it took some puzzling and experimenting to figure out exactly what they meant. The suction mount is very sturdy and allows quick transport to another car. I like the auto-looping for file overwrite and auto recording as soon as the car starts up. I accidentally had it configured to watch my car while parked once and although I never thought I would use that feature, I think I might like it. I haven't tired G-force to see what happens with an impact to my car...and I don't plan to test that feature.The audio recording works, picking up faintly. Could be better, but good enough. I can hear it if I replay at 100% volume.I like the collection of features. I didn't buy the most expensive camera on the market, it's definitely not as good as the human eye, and the main complaint I have is it's handling of medium ambient light at night. I drive mostly at night with a metro population of 2 million and I sometimes drive in very rural areas and very small towns with lower light.The daytime video is just plain fun so I don't feel like I wasted my money.

This is the best dash cam I ha EA ever had or seen. Not only does it have a clear picture at 60mph, but it also has a clear picture at night. It has awesome color and takes a memory card for unlimited recording. It does look around and record over if you don't take it out and put a new card in. Like that the charger for it also has not one but two USB ports built into it, so you can easily charge the dash cam and two more devices at the same time. It's basically plug and play. It took me 5 minutes to set it up. I'm not a tech person, so for me to do it in 5 minutes, it means it's easy...lol

When purchased it worked as described. However 4 months into ownership it stared cutting off after a couple of minutes. I wrote to their email address in their booklet. Email came back as UNDELIVERALBLE. Next I went to their website and Contact Us. NO RESPONSE. I cannot recommend this product or company based on my personal experience.

Camera is very easy to install. It has a very wide viewing angle and good quality recording. The mounting is very solid, the picture appears very stable (not a lot of shaking or vibration). At the 1080P setting and using a 64GB card, can get about 16 hours of recording. Settings does allow you to remove the date and time from being embedded in the picture. Nice feature is when the vehicle is turned off, the unit stays on for about a minute. The cigarette lighter plug also had a USB connection so you're not losing the plug to just the camera unit.

I highly recommend this dashcam. It's got a sleek compact design, but still has a powerful wide angle HD camera. I was really impressed with the wide angle view. It captures everything you see on the road while being mounted anywhere on your windshield. The video quality and resolution is good enough to capture license plate numbers (you can't be too careful these days). Setup is easy and intuitive. I paired this with a Samsung microSD card as suggested, and I have 0 issues.My favorite thing about it is the suction cup mount. It makes it easy to securely attach/unattach the dash cam to your windshield. Additionally, because it's so compact, it's not a distraction or eyesore. The screen auto shuts off after a few minutes but continues to record, which reduces further distraction and preserves battery. Note: My camera's battery did not come charged, but it plugs in and charges easily/quickly with the provided cable.The

I bought this camera for my sister just over a year ago. It worked great for a couple of months, at which point it locked up. I was able to reset it, and it worked great for a couple more months, at which point (SURPRISE!) it locked up again! Between the regular lockups and the suction cup mount falling off the windshield, it became a regular part of routine maintenance. Call me crazy, but I think a dash cam should just be "install and forget", not "install and constantly mollycoddle". After almost exactly one year, it finally gave out completely. It still powers up (only on external power though), but it no longer sees the memory card, which works perfectly with my computer, and is uber-sensitive to light now resulting in a completely white screen in daylight. Honestly I was drawn in by the price -- not too expensive/not too cheap -- but I won't be making that mistake again. You get what you pay for. I guess I should be grateful that it lasted as long as it did considering some of the other reviews.

This is so easy to use and the quality is fantastic. It's pretty much plug and play - you set it up on the first day and away you go. The quality is brilliant .Great camera. Works exactly as described. The instruction manual is greatly detailed leaving no questions or concerns.Easy to mount and route wires. The quality is truly impressive and I definitely recommend this to anyone who drives or has children they want protected in case anything happens.
