We use our sunroom as a playroom but it doesn’t have a door, so it’s open to our kitchen/family room. Our 5 yr old son has autism and we needed a way to keep him in that sunroom for his ABA therapy. We needed something too sturdy for him to break, not so open he could climb through, but also something that would allow us to still hear what was going on while the therapist is in our home yet still be movable for all the other times we aren’t using that room for therapy. This meets all those needs perfectly. Think of it as a jumbo baby gate for older kids! Our old baby gate was only 4 ft tall and he’d easily hop over it. I also love that the accordion style is too thin for him to comfortably fit his foot in so he can’t climb on it. When not in use, it quickly folds up (as discreetly as this could possibly be) and now we can easily get our open floor plan back. Note- we don’t use the actual padlock that came with it. We just put one of those baby proof cabinet locks through the latch and it works perfectly without being as restrictive as a padlock. The opening at the bottom is barely tall enough where he could try to slide under (as he is very slim) but we solved that by lining up his toy bins across that when the room is in use. That way he doesn’t even get a chance to notice that gap and potentially hurt himself on it. Our neurotypical 2 year old could care less about the gap (as you can see in the picture) so we don’t have to block it for him, but we still keep an eye on him just in case.

Used as a security gate to block access to our upstairs from the Air B and B that we have downstairs. Fast delivery as well.

I’m only giving the gate a three just because of this reason …I love how the gate looks in my arbor. But once I’ve installed it, I regrettably did not check if the keys fit in the lock that was given. So I proceeded to lock the gate once it was installed. I wanted access out, unfortunately the keys did NOT fit the lock provided. So now I am in a bit of a jam. 🤦🏻♀️

We used it to block off my mother’s entrance to the basement stairs. It’s very secure if anyone should happen to fall against it. It folds up and is very easy to roll it over to the side so it’s not in the way.

The gate is strong and stands up to shaking of someone who is not allowed in the kitchen. Made Peace in the Home
