I used the copper and green paint to refurbish an owl garden ornament which was in danger of rusting through. the copper was for the owl and the green for the stand. it looks good and rain just drops off it. it now flaps its wings in the wind again and should last many more years. I'm delighted

I bought green and it is such a nice colour. It goes on easy and dries quickly and looks so good when dry. Very good price too.

Researched quite a bit before buying this paint. just done a test patch today on my bandsaw, a little disappointed with end result. There is not a hammered finish but neither is it smooth. Put it on as directions of the tin using a small water colour child's paint brush. Also I checked it after 10 hrs and it was still tacky, after 24 hrs it was dry. What I will say is it is a beautiful 2 tone colour green, so hay ho , I'm painting the whole saw anyway.

Hammerite metal paint is a great product. I particularly like the hammered finish. It may seem a little expensive for the size of the tin but with no need to prime, it is easy to apply by brush and covers well. It is nice and thick and a bit sticky. Although it can run if you apply too thick a coat, it remains workable for quite a long period so you can brush in any drips provided you don't leave them to dry for too long. I have painted a cast iron bench a couple of times over the past few years. It looks as good if not better than when it was brand new. I intend to cover it in winter from now on to protect it from the weather and preserve the pristine finish.
