Snow Buddy Utility Snow Shovel, Gunmetal

I bought the Snow Buddy compact shovel on a last minute thought as we were heading to Idyllwild for the weekend and it was supposed to snow. Well it did snow. The most snow that Idyllwild has gotten in over six years! I had to traverse a road with an incline to get to the cabin and got stuck several times even with 4 wheel drive and chains! I had to dig out the snow in front of the wheels to get traction and would have been stuck without the Snow Buddy shovel. When I received it I thought the handle might be too short. But I found that it worked perfectly and did not take much space. The lightweight metal construction is also much stronger than the plastic shovels you find in the stores. 5 stars for the Snow Buddy compact shovel.

This is wonderful shovel for your car. Don't get me wrong...you aren't going to shovel a driveway with this shovel. It's for a quick clearing of snow around your vehicle.It is very compact. It comes in three pieces and they attach and come apart VERY easily. I had no trouble doing it a few times to test it out. I have had other such things and once the pieces got connected you couldn't undo them. Not the case with this. And it has its own pouch to store it in.The shovel is solidly made. Not some flimsy plastic that will bend or break. This is solid. And you can use only one of the two pieces to create a shorter shovel.It is a bit small, but as I said, it's not meant to clear a huge area. It's something you store in your car along with you snow brush/ice scraper and use when you need it.

Portable. Sturdy. Easy to use.

Great shovel for portability - put this in the back of your car. It's not big enough to use at home.

Great tool for outdoor winter adventures,I like the fact that it breaks down, replaced plastic storage bag with a canvas on.

Pretty useless. The shovel is very light and feels more like a toy than a real tool. For $20 it's definitely not worth it. Will not even break a thin coating of ice. Better off using your plastic one.

Good deal for the money. If I use it once, it will pay for itself this winter.
