Excellent quality.

It does get hot and will uncap the cells, but the honey from the uncapping process is all over the blade, which is remaining very hot, and then blackens/burns. It may very well just be a matter of preference, but I will go back to the uncapping scraper tool. I only have a couple hives, maybe this is more meant for a commercial beekeeper.

Product works well. It gets really hot! This can be good, but sometimes the wax comb clumps up, removing large sections of comb. Not a problem for those who want to remove all of the comb, but challenging for those who want too try to leave some comb for the bees for build on. Sharper edges would be helpful, with a temperature regulator.

it works but you have to be patient it doesn't go through the capping very easy it takes a lot of pressure

I have used these type of knifes before so I know what I am talking about...This knife is a waste of money and time..when using it will get about 3-4 inches into uncapping a frame and then it is gets too cold to work...The heat recovery speed is not good enough to even uncap 1/2 of one side of one frame and its cold.......

I did not have good luck with this product. After the initial few inches of comb, it just grabed the wax and pulled it from the frame. I don't think this unit gets hot enough.
