SmartFlare LED Combo Light Indoor Outdoor Portable LED Lantern Flashlight Flare

There are about a billion different options on Amazon for emergency flares. Most seem to be a variation of the same theme, so these caught my eye simply because they looked different. I was looking for orange LED's, but decided to take a chance on these red ones. Check your local traffic ordinances to ensure that you can use red.These have red LED's on one side, and white on the other. There are three modes IIRC; solid white, red/white, or flashing red/white. They're very bright and have a solid base, which means that they sit up a bit higher than their competitors when placed on the ground, which should help with visibility. The magnets seem strong enough to hold them in place if you're not moving.These also come with a nice case. I bought the three pack, which has a fabric case, and I believe that the two pack has a molded plastic case.Overall I'm happy with these and will likely buy a set for every vehicle.

Need a screwdriver to change batteries, which is a hassle but other than that they are decent enough lights.

Initially had major problems when the battery compartment wouldn't close after inserting the batteries. They sent me a new batch and it worked more than perfectly. They're a new startup and still have teething problems with their asian factories. However, use LiIon batteries, either regular or the rechargeable variety. With LiIon batteries, they will last half the day. On lower power, between 10-15/16H straight. Higher output, alittle less. Red light is visible about 8blocks (2400feet). The mini version is also very good. Handed them out to my colleagues, many who took them on camping trips. Excellent results. Rugged as well. Recommend: Buy a few (I did).

These little LED flare lights are terrific! I've already had to use them on the day after I received them. They are very bright and made me feel safer when I needed to change a flat tire on the side of the road that was facing traffic. I magnetically attached two of these to the side fenders of my car, set them on blinker mode, went ahead and changed the tire, and felt less worried about being hit by any careless oncoming traffic. I highly recommend these for every car owner!

Not very bright and only illuminates a very small area. Very disappointed. Planned on returning, but last day to ship it back was 5/31. Guess I’m stuck with this overpriced flashlight.

I had bought them from QVC for my car. I liked them so much and saw Amazon had them so I ordered 3 more.

Bought as replacement for light used in past. This one has a variety of options. Meets needs.
