Premium Quality 100% Handmade Anti Static Natural Sheep Horn Comb - Professional Detangling Massage Comb (Wavy)

I broke my old comb and was happy to have found this one, it’s the same shape, size and comb width as my old one plus it’s mold resistant. So far it’s held up well.

My hair is mostly straight, medium-fine texture, and medium-thick amount, without much damage from sun/treatments but also no detangling or silicone conditioning products. I usually keep it somewhere between waist-length and hip-length. I've been using horn combs for a long time now because they don't build up static. This and the larger buffalo-horn comb I bought from this seller are more expensive than the ones I have bought over the years, but the quality so far seems _so_ much better. The others have had a tendency towards splitting that is often apparent almost immediately, and these seem much tighter-grained. The finish is wonderfully glossy smooth, without the roughness at the tips that another reviewer mentioned. They have a pleasing shape and weight--note that they'll be a lot heavier than a similarly-sized plastic comb. For those who look at the gloss and think these are plastic, I did notice that the the sides of the teeth, in the slots, have little ridges from the machining. I don't think they affect the function, for better or worse, but I'm pretty sure a plastic comb wouldn't have them. When wet they have a little bit of a smell, but since I dry-comb my hair that's not a big deal for me. I wouldn't be surprised if these are brittle, so I hope to not drop them on a hard floor. Here's hoping they'll last as long as I think they will!

I was looking for a horn comb that was compact but didn't feel lightweight and flimsy like the regular acetate ones or some of the other horn combs I have seen. I purchased the 3.9 inch comb and it certainly fits the bill. It arrives in box with a small pouch that can be used for storage. It can easily fit in a pocket, purse, or briefcase but it is thicker than regular combs giving it a nice bit of heft. The extra thickness and bit of weight make it feel authentic and sturdier. Also, notice that the teeth edge are curved a bit. Although it may not seem like much that little bit or curve really massages the scalp more comfortable that one with teeth that are straight across. The spacing of the teeth are perfect for everyday use but since this actually could be authentic horn you can't use it as a detangler in the shower since you don't want to exposed to that much water. For my needs, however, it is perfect as an every day comb that I use several times a day. Finally notice that one side edge of the comb has a slight indention. When I saw this in the picture I figured it was just for aesthetic purposes. Not so! When using the comb one of your fingers fits right in the indention providing a more secure grip while combing mitigating accidentally dropping it (which could spell disaster if you, like me, have natural stone floors in the bathroom.)I actually liked this comb so much I tried to buy another one about a week later but unfortunately it went up 4$ from what I paid for it and it was no longer on prime. This seller offers three different combs but I am really in love with the 3.9 inch comb that I purchased. I would really like another one so I will continue to monitor and hopefully it will go back to the 10.99 I originally paid and be available on prime.TL;DRexcellent comb with excellent features that surpassed all expectations. would love another one but price went up and no longer on prime. This is my favorite comb. I own 3 of them. It’s beautifully crafted and comes in a cute bag.BUT…Lately, I’ve been using it in the shower to comb my hair wet, and I made the fatal mistake to let the comb sit in a puddle overnight. When it absorbs water it starts swelling and smelling extremely bad, like excrement or cheese. It was incredibly disturbing. And if you comb your hair with it, the foul smell will transfer. I tried to wash it off with soap but it didn’t help, you have to let it dry fully, for 48h. I’d like to hear more about why this happens, I couldn’t find any explanation when googling it but I did find other people reporting the same issue, here and on Reddit. Could the vendor explain?

I just needed a small comb that wouldn't take up much room in my purse. I had never thought about a comb made out of a sheep horn before, but it's just perfect! I love that it doesn't cause static in my hair and it just easily slips in my purse. Unlike some other reviews I read, I never noticed any smell and I think it's very pretty.

Returned false advertising. Teeth flexible, if it was made of bone it wouldn't flex. It's made of plastic and they had a video on the ad showing somebody making it from bone or horn. Returned item.

Small enough to carry with you conveniently, don't get it wet whatsoever or it will have a smell, works very well for tangled hair, it glides quite well throughout one's hair, horn combs are the only combs we should be using, decent quality if you take care of it.
