Onagofly Should Be Renamed OnagoNotGonnaFly
Although a vast improvement over the infamous first generation Onagofly, this second generation quad still leaves a lot to be desired.1) Range is still a pathetic 100 feet2) Control is only via a late-model smartphone app3) Said smart phone app is barely adequate and needs much improvement4) Control is only in Mode 1 (throttle on the right stick) whereas most of the western nations use Mode 2 (throttle on the left stick).5) Control is still iffy and, if the app disconnects from the drone (which happens quite often), all control is lost which can result in a flyawayI would strongly suggest that a dedicated transmitter be developed in Mode 2 configuration instead of continued development or use of a smartphone. At present, I don't think a price of even $100 is justified for what you get. The shortcomings vastly outweigh the good.As for the drone itself:1) The only way I could get it to enter the "Follow Me" mode was to tie a string around the drone and drag it behind me.2) It has a very hard time finding satellites which means it can't enter GPS mode which means it doesn't fly which means it's really not a drone but only pretends to be one.3) In flight, it's really wobbly and unsure of itself and therefore shouldn't leave terra firma.4) Unless you have the foresight to superglue the leg coverings on, plan on losing at least one of them which means you'll have to take off the other three.5) Take a crowbar with you - you'll need it to take out the battery. On the plus side:1) Wait, there is no plus side. Oh, yeah, it comes nicely packaged. You'll be much better off buying a Hubsan H501S for about the same price.

It will leave a smile on your face, like it did mine!
I have to say that I was both excited and optimistic when Onagofly offered to send me this drone at no cost to me to replace my ill fated Orginal Onagofly drone (now referred to as the Beta Drone). I've waited to post this review because I wanted to try this drone out in different areas and under different conditions, you know, to really put her through her paces. My final impression of the Onagofly 1 Plus Drone is this- If you are a beginner in the drone world, don't buy this drone, If you are a novice is the drone world, don't buy this drone...mater of fact, just don't buy this drone, period!! This is nothing more than the Onagofly Beta Drone in a new body. Even with maxim satellites connected, full wifi and excellent gps signal this drone is all over the place, it will not hover even in the best conditions. It's like, how I imagine it would be trying to balance a ping pong ball on a soccer ball. The "follow me mode" is comical, the drone will actually move it the opposite direction while in follow me mode. I'm not sure if this was happening because some setting wasn't correct or if it was just the drone drifting away because I wasn't putting any input to the remote (my iPhone 6) because I was thinking it was going to actually follow me. One feature that I was impressed with due to its reliability to work every time is the "Emergency Shutoff Mode". I know and trust this feature will work flawlessly each and every time because I had to use this feature....EACH AND EVERY TIME I TRIED TO FILY THIS OVERPRICED SLICE OF GARBAGE... In the end, this drone left me with a giant smile on my face during this last flight (which will end up being this drone's final flight), not because I thought this was an awesomely fun drone to fly but because I kept thinking about how the neighbors must think I'm some sort of moron chasing this piece of garbage all around the area..

Uncontrollable drone
This is a scam, do not buy!!! I have the beta version, paid for $200 and it could not get off the ground. When in does, very unstable - not controllable! Forget about the follow me, does not work!

I purchased their beta and it is total junk. It doesn't do anything Onagofly claims. Go to the campaign site and read the reviews. Seriously, save your money and do not by their drone.
