I love the look of a large jute rug in a room - especially in rooms where I want to add texture to the floor but not additional patterns. The jute rug offers a natural simplicity that has a cozy and effortless vibe. This 5 foot round jute rug works well in my home office, where I have placed it for the time being. Initially, I wanted it for our living room but I had to remove it soon after adding it to the space as one of our two cats immediately believed it to be his new scratching mat. If your cat has been provided sisal scratching posts and pads throughout their life, chances are, they will see this jute rug as an extra large and luxurious scratching pad. This cat of ours went CRAZY. He was in scratching heaven. If I hadn’t rolled the mat back up and carted it away after failing to deter him for hours, it would have surely been destroyed eventually. As the cats are not allowed in the home office, the jute rug is in there for now. Fortunately, it looks good in the space, and might also work well in our master bedroom (which is the only other cat-free room). However, while the jute is cushy to walk on with house slippers, I personally find the material a little scratchy for bare feet, which is why I am hesitant so far to put it in the bedroom. I saw some other reviews complaining about the smell of the rug after unpacking it. If you have ever purchased handmade baskets made of seagrass, hyacinth, and other such natural materials, you may have encountered similar issues. This is totally normal, and often part and parcel of purchasing natural fiber products. If your jute rug happens to smell when you receive it, just air it outdoors in the sun for a few days before use. It will get rid of the smell. While I wish my cat did not make the placement of this rug such a pain, this is still a lovely piece and a very attractive addition to our home. Great quality and well made!

I finally received the 2 rugs I ordered yesterday. One was dry and one was wet. Both were sealed in the same type of plastic/packaging. Color for the wet one is different due to moisture and the smell is unbearable! Very disappointed!

I’m so amazed by this rug. If you want to see my full review click the video but I will say that I loved the color and look of the rug so I ordered it. This rug is extremely soft and durable and has stood up to us walking across it constantly as well as three cats scratching it. No unraveling no splintering nothing. And this rug is also extremely soft and will remind you have a regular carpet area rug. I’m still not sure how they did that but it is amazing. Has a bit of an organic slight dirt smell when you first open it. The rug is soft for the material it is and the size is decent. The color is nice and neutral so easy to match with most decore. Laid pretty flat immediately after opening so it didn't have the annoying curled ends some rugs get.

Ive been looking for a casual yet stylish rug for my foyer and this was it! Absolutely love that its round. Really pulls the space together. Have found it pretty durable too considering its been raining so a lot of wet shoes have been going across it with no damage.

Rug is beautiful and well woven from 100% Turkish jute. Lays flat and feel good on the feet. High quality with look and feel of durability
