The kids enjoyed this project so much!

Came with 5 painted lady caterpillars each. They went in chrysalis within 10 days and butterflies 10 days afterward. I will buy this every spring for my third grade class. They loved learning about life cycles in this way. All that came with it were also useful and fun!

I love sharing this w my grandkids. This is a great thing for them to watch. Butterflies stay in their hands too before take off. But 3 didn’t make it. 1 of those tried 3 days to get out of cocoon and couldn’t. Then died other 2 never hatched I can send pics if u want. Let me know pls. I just want the 3 replaced pls But to others this is a great thing to get

The media could not be loaded. It’s become a family spring tradition. We don’t always get lucky with all the caterpillars but we always get a beautiful lesson out of it.Great for classroom lessons, home schooling lessons, or just teaching small ones about transformation and them being able to see the process in real time.

The item description says there are 5 caterpillars with each cup, and the ones I received only had 4 each. We do this every year for my daughter's birthday and were disappointed when we didn't receive what we paid for.

We bought caterpillars every year and my daughter loves butterflies. All of the caterpillars turned into butterflies. Will keep the tradition going!

I gave InsectLore many chances to make this right, but the truth is that their quality and customer care departments pale in comparison to Amazon A-Z as a "small business". This was the first order for 2023, and the shipping carrier delayed the delivery, so all were DOA. Amazon took care of this, so I did not leave a review reflecting negativity until now, after a second order was short caterpillars and 2 arrived DOA as well. (Purchased in April 2023; will review that one under the other order, which is the STEM/Homeschool version.) Will not be purchasing these again from InsectLore until they get their issues sorted out with quality and CS. Sad, because we loved them in the past. :(

I am a first grade teacher. We always do a butterfly unit in the spring. These were exactly what we needed. We use them every year and they have never disappointed.
