The cigarette lighter socket has been occupied and I have a car charger port with USB so I am always looking for the usb one.I cleaned the areas under the dash and back seats before I installed the adhesive to insure them have a strong hold and will last for a long time.The remote control must point directly to the black receiver box and the extra wire (The extra wire is the infrared signal receiver) and insure there is no obstacle between them. Because the obstacle will affect the infrared signal receiver and make the remote no working. There must be a direct line of sight between the remote and this receiver.These lights are absolutely fantastic. Easy installation, high quality, low price, so bright, remote control with multiple static colors, 7 colors or 3 colors fades or jumps, and beat to the music. They were a real hit. They really give an upgraded look to any car and it makes it fun to drive them at night. I would recommend you to buy one if you want to add some extra lighting for your car.

The lights are bright (and adjustable), the adhesive is pretty good quality, and it couldn't be any easier to install. If you just take a little time, it's easy to hide ALL of the wires by taping them under trim pieces. Then I mounted the main module in the glovebox, taped all of the tires along the top of the open glovebox so you can't see them when it's closed, and plugged it in with a USB that turns off with the car. Now they're fully installed, the remote works thanks to the IR sensor hiding under the glovebox lid. Everything is completely hidden and completely functional.

I had mixed feelings at first about this product...my first impression was that these lights are very bright and easy to install, however; the 3M tape on the back had trouble sticking to certain materials so I was somewhat limited on placement but I made it work. I was very pleased with them but then the remote stopped working, so I messaged the seller and they sent me a new remote. Not even with the new remote it worked so I'm guessing it was a wiring problem with the housing, it wouldn't relay the information from the remote back to the lights. I was very disappointed but after some messages between the seller, they sent me a brand new set of lights! I am now a very satisfied customer and must applaud the customer service as everything was done in a timely matter.

I bought these lights for fun, knowing that I would look like an idiot driving around with strobe lights in my car. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how well they worked and how easy to use these lights were.All the LEDs I received were in perfect condition and the adhesive on the back is very strong.The remote is pretty intuitive although you have to point it directly at the receiver or nothing will happen. The lights are very bright (sadly you canr dim them) and the colors are sharp. The music modes actually work well, especially in a song with lots of bass. I would only reccomend the pattern modes if you're a fan of raves or seizures, as they all blink the lights extremely quickly.I reccomend putting one light strip on each side of the center of the car (below your cupholder and closer to your feet) and the other two under your seat facing outwards.Overall this product is great for the car and I can see it working well for other thing such as the back of a t.v., a monitor, or ambient light for a computer battlestation.I highly reccomend this product (just know that you will kind of look like a dork for having it in your car).

Easy to install, but there's a ton of cords so hiding them is hard, without it looking just thrown together. The cords will run along the floor and you will see them, so I suggest trying to hide them under your floor mats so they aren't in the way or look cheesy. However the rest of the cord where the battery is I just hid down the side of my driver chair so you didn't see the excess cords, because I didn't know what else to do lol. And of course when getting the other lights to the passenger side the cord will be visible by your cupholder if your car doesn't have an empty spot up front. The instructions suggest 2 of the lights up front and the other 2 in the back but I only did mine up front because I wasn't going to go through all that for separate spots. Otherwise for the price not too bad, so I can't really complain because I only paid like $16 and it was pretty easy to install for a women, not professional looking at all with all the visible cords lol but its so cool!

These lights are awesome, bright, and dance to whichever music or sound you play in the car. It says to have the receiver close to a speaker. With 8 speakers in the car, i doubt that’s a proof or most cars. The remote works great as long as it’s in line of sight. My kids love the lights in the car and since Christmas is coming up we’re gonna be cranking Christmas music soon. There’s no way to set which colors play for Jukebox mode so it’s gonna be a party!I bought the usb powered lights because I have a bunch of those ports and use the accessory port for phone charging and an inverter I have. I placed one strip in the closest corners to the center console and drive shaft hump to light the bottom of the passenger area. One downside is that if you have kids, reinforce the attachment to whichever surface you chose because kids typically aren’t looking where they put their feet and they’ll catch the cord and undo the setup.Have fun!
