This 5-inch Kurouto utility knife is exactly as advertised. The craftsmanship is superb. It has the perfect weight for a knife this size, fits the hand very comfortably and has a razor sharp edge. By far my new favorite! Only problem is my wife says it's too "pretty" to use! If you're looking for a handy sized knife of outstanding quality, do yourself a favor and order this knife. You will no regret it!

This is a great knife--beautifully balanced and a nice even weight. I had also ordered the larger 8" knife and was a wee bit intimidated by it. I haves used it a few times but find that most of my "cutting" needs are fairly small jobs. The 5" knife is better for me. I would recommend it to others.

Beautiful knife but the metal is soft. The bottom of the blade is inexplicably bent, when I tried to straighten it out the middle of the blade got bent.

Nice knife... But, handle is too short. Good for a lady, not a man. Very sharp...

Blade became dull after a few uses.

We love everything about this knife, which we have owned and used for many months now. It really is so sharp that it "feels like cutting through butter." Also slices and minces like a dream. It handles easily, too, regardless of our hand-size differences and even for the one of us who has age-deforming fingers. This is our go-to knife. Every day. Period. Get one (and NO one paid me to say that).

Hi Doug,I am a chef that is disabled now but cooks for family and friends (and myself). I like the balance and precision of your knife and it's sexy also :)I normally buy Caphalon knives. I will be be buying more of your company's knives in the future. I notice the tongue of the knife seems to go through the handle and is stamped. (Problems for me in the past with other companies)I will let you know more after the much use it will get.Thanks tell Anna 1 more shot!

This knife is amazing! I have never owned a knife this sharp, and after using it to cut lemons this morning, I went on a search for other things to cut. I love it. Not only is it amazingly sharp, it's a work of art as well with the beautifully decorated blade and handle. Also, it comes in a lovely box to keep it safe. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.
