Works Surprisingly Well
Take a look at the picture I posted. That's after one single night outside at my apartment complex. Don't get me wrong, I've never seen one inside the apartment but they tend to come out at night, even on my second story balcony and it was kind of gross when I sat outside to read in the evening. So I bought this, placed a small dollop of peanut butter inside and came out the *very next morning* and it was full to capacity. This product is inexpensive, works very well and I would recommend to anyone who needs to curb a roach problem.

But almost as soon as I put it down it came out again and pretty quickly went over to it
It didn't work for me. I live in a basement apartment and occasionally on hot humid nights will get an American cockroach in my place. The other night I saw one and quickly got it and put peanut butter in it and set it on the floor. The roach had gone into hiding for a bit. But almost as soon as I put it down it came out again and pretty quickly went over to it. It kept circling around it and even climbed on top numerous time but would not fully enter it. This went on for 10 to 15 minutes. I don't know if this was a special roach or what, but judging by this one bug I'd say it was a failure. Also I don't like the way the 2 clear parts connect together. They don't snap tightly, they stay rather loose and I feel I roach could squeeze thru. Certainly a small one could, if it would enter it.

but I think that's because they were small enough to crawl through the holes in the metal flaps and not smart enough to get out
This did not work. I did find two very tiny cockroaches in it, but I think that's because they were small enough to crawl through the holes in the metal flaps and not smart enough to get out. I'm not quite sure how the small to large ones are supposed to get in. There are metal flaps (they're like small metal pieces that are hinged so they're hanging down) and I assume the cockroaches are supposed to push those open and get in and then be trapped, like a one way cat door. I'm not sure if cockroaches are strong, smart, or motivated enough to figure out how to get through the metal flaps. I feel like they would need to be trained, like animals in learning psychology studies, and if you're going to go so far as to teach them, you might as well add some more tricks and start a circus. That being said, I am legitimately disappointed this didn't work. I don't want cockroaches in my house but also feel like a monster for killing them. I was hoping to just empty this thing over my dumpster so they could live a good life of feasting all the way to the dump. So if I'm missing something that would help it work better, please let me know!

The Best Trap Ever!!!!
We bought two of these for our outdoor patio. We used oatmeal as bait, and it's amazing how many roaches have been trapped. My husband does the awful job of sinking the traps in a bucket of water to kill the bugs then empties them. We like the fact that they are clear so we can see when they need to be emptied. It's the best trap we have ever purchased. Highly recommended!

NOT an Actual Roach Trap
I don't really know how to phrase this, but this product is a fake.As soon as it arrives you get the feeling you've been scammed. The product feels flimsy and the packaging gives no instructions or company information. Regardless, I proceeded to try it for a few weeks with different bait always hoping it would finally help solve my problem. It never caught a single roach with any of the bait I put in. I then switch to roach traps that where sticky paper with bait it the center and immediately caught a TON of roaches in the following weeks and I no longer see them outside of the trap.If you have roaches, there are great products that do work, but this plastic JTHM trap will do absolutely nothing for you except leaving you feeling like Amazon needs to take a lot more action in preventing fraudulent products from being sold on their website.

I love the idea of this but unfortunately I'm not having ...
I love the idea of this but unfortunately I'm not having much luck. I've had it out with a variety of bait ranging from fruit to dog food since June and have managed to catch exactly 1 adult roach. Meanwhile, I suck up 4-5 the cat's killed overnight nearly everyday. The search for a good trap continues unless someone can give me some tips on improving my success rate.
