XFORT Brass 40/50 Euro Cylinder Lock (90 mm), Euro Door Lock with 3 Keys, Anti-Bump, Anti-Drill and Anti-Pick Door Lock with Key

These were bought to replace the three outside locks in a property that I have just moved to, two of them were a doddle and feel just great, the third I am having problems with, I can install the lock OK but not operate the lock, it appears the same as the old lock so I don't know why it won't turn. I am reluctant to start taking the door apart in this cold weather and besides I am not a locksmith so am not sure what I will find.

Brought this to practice picking it, I'm a beginner and managed to do this in under 5 minutes, I was able to rake it and single pin pick it, and I can do it over and over again. Its a nice sturdy lock and it does have security pins as far as I'm aware but with light tension, the security pin don't seem to have much effect.I may have got an easier one.Either way, anyone that is planning to burgle your house and plans to pick your lock will have some reasonable knowledge on how to do it.So as long as it locks and you can't just jam a screwdriver in there to unlock it then it's good enough for security.

I had arranged for a locksmith to come and change my backdoor lock. He quoted £50 call out and £60 for the lock. He didn't turn up as arranged, I was anxious to get the lock sorted and couldn't wait another week for him to come out., so I took a look at how to do it on YouTube. Looked so simple to do I thought what have I got to loose. I ordered this lock and with in 24hrs It arrived and I fitted it in minutes. So simple! I ordered one for the front door too. I saved my self loads of money and the stress of waiting for a tradesman that couldn't be bothered to turn up the first time,

Simple to fit and was fitted within 20 mins. Only issue we had was the securing screw was too long so we used the original off the old lock we were replacing. Best part was it was ordered, delivered and fitted in the same day!

Make sure you check the cylinder ratio. Is the "screw hole" in the very centre or offset? Mine was centred so I bought the 45/45 one. So easy to install and secure. Great, solid lock. Cheaper than B&Q and B&Q were out of stock when I arrived, despite online suggesting there were 8 on the shelves.
