This is an Excellent Product/Easy To Use/Exellent Seal
This little hand held vacuum sealer is good as full size vacuum sealers...if not better. It works better than my old full size sealer. It's about 5". It comes with a recharging base. It's needs a 24 hour charge before using the first time. The manufacturer recommends a full 24 hour charge to extend the battery life. This has an internal battery that is charged by electricity. It come with 4 quart size bags. They sell 2 sizes....the quart and the gallon. The gallon bags extend open at the base to allow more food to go into it. The quart bag are smaller than expected. The will hold a pound of cheese or lunch meat. The gallon bags will hold about 6 chicken breast or a couple of large steaks, 4 pounds of ground beef....if you smash the beef into the bag. The gallon bags hold a good amount of food. Make you look at the different prices available..... right now, buying bags in bulk is not cheaper than buying just 1 individual box of bags. These bags are reusable. You simply put your food into the bag. Close the "zipper" and place the sealer onto the bag. The round end goes on the bag and you press the square metal end to activate it. There is a circular disk on each bag. That is where the sealer goes. It is important to make sure the zipper is completely closed. If it doesn't work immediately the zipper isn't closed all the way. This sucks the air out quickly and completely. This doesn't work with other bags.I really like it much better than the full size vacuum sealer. There's not cutting bags and sealing the ends before using. There's no trying to maneuver the bag in the machine the right way....no error messages. No holding a bag filled with food while waiting for it to vacuum. This is small and portable. After opening the bag to remove some food..... all you have to do is re-vacuum it I really like the zipper feature, instead of sealing both ends of the bags. It helps keep a tight seal. My old vacuum sealer would lose some of it seal, especially when putting food in my freezer.I really like this little gadget. My full size vacuum sealer quit working. I was looking for a replacement and decided on this. I'm glad I did. . This is much cheaper than the full size vacuum sealers. I was not going to spend a lot of money on a new one. I highly recommend. It's better than my old sealer.

This is Going to Save You Money!
After tossing yet another package of freezer burned meat into the garbage, I decided it was finally time to invest in a vacuum sealer. With prices being what they are at the grocery store, it's maddening when things end up with freezer burn after less than a month in the freezer even when they're in freezer zipper bags. This little dynamo is so easy to use and works exactly as it should. The fact that it's rechargeable and takes up hardly any space at all in a drawer is a huge bonus, too. So many of the vacuum sealers I looked at were big and bulky and looked more complicated to use. This product will allow you to purchase meat and other products in bulk or when they're on sale and keep them in the freezer with minimal loss of freshness or risk of freezer burn. A great product to help your family save money and avoid food waste!

UPDATED 02.12.24 - Original Review 12.22 - Stopped working after less than 20 uses
DO NOT RUIN OUR PLANET WITH THIS GARBAGE!!! - 02.12.24 - UPDATED REVIEW - Back again, reviewing the replacement that was sent to me via FoodSaver. Good news, they replaced my unit after it failed after less than 20 uses. Bad news, the new unit lasted 14 months this time; a total of about 100 uses. I mean, in comparison I suppose that's progress <insert eyeroll here> but I still cant get over the sheer amount of waste and environmental impact on the percentage of failure this thing has. If every single person that has a failed unit got a replacement (I guess good) think of the production, shipment, and landfill cost all of those unit tolled on our planet. I (we) had been better off just using Ziplock's to begin with. TBH, getting nice quality Ziplock's and rolling out the air would equate to about 90% the same affect of this device. As my last review stated, the air never completely stayed out. Regardless, I'll be attempting yet another replacement because I really do and did invest in this product quite a bit. I did like it and now my entire food saving setup is geared towards it. I even wash the bags (save the planet yah) which has left me with nearly 600 brand new bags in their boxes still. I really don't want to land fill those. Oh, should you want to try to get serviced by these folk, i suggest the same email I used last year to get my replacement. [email protected] I posted the below review on Amazon and never heard from them. I even used the customer service link they have via Amazon, still no reply. Went to their site and it took less than a week to get an email saying they were shipping a new one. Good luck.It was mostly great, until it was just dead. Lights come on and all appears normal but nothing happens when you press either button. I've used it less that 20 times and nothing more than chips or such. Also, the bags do eventually leak air in as nothing ever stayed super tightly sealed as it is at first seal; objects can easily move around in the bag after about 2 weeks, indicating air space in the bag.My review to actual Food Saver website, which got a reply and a new unit fyi:Loved it, for the 20 times it workedI bought this 3 months ago and so bummed I did. I really liked it at first, and still like the idea of it. I spent several hundred $$$ switching my entire food storage system over to this handheld. I bought multiple containers and bags and every accessory from wine stopper to vegetable crisper in an attempt to help reduce our carbon footprint. Unfortunately, my "investment" is both bad for the environment AND my psyche in that the device does nothing but light up now and is thus destined for the landfill; making me feel like an idiot for making the switch. Now, not only will the device and the container it came in end up in the landfill, I have little choice but to request a replacement or send all of my purchased accessories to the landfill as well. I'm so disappointed. I read the reviews on Amazon and just ignored that 8% of them complained of the exact same issue in the same timeframe; I just assumed it'd "get lucky" with a working one. So disappointing.
