I replaced the muffler in our SUV with a borla 304 stainless muffler which was over a foot shorter than the stock muffler (also about 20lbs lighter.) I needed a pipe to extend the muffler back to the oem exhaust pipe which s also stainless and this was the correct OD and material I needed. I've learned the hard way, if you take a stainless muffler to most exhaust shops they will use mild steel piping and mig wire to weld in the muffler and it will fail at the point of weld within a few year's most likely because of the dissimilar metals being joined (here in the Midwest with with our salted roads) My last truck had the muffler replaced every 3 years due to that. After realizing what was going on, as much as I hate exhaust work, I decided to do the work myself. When I sold that truck 5 years after welding that muffler on, the exhaust still looked and sounded great. This pipe looks great with a dull shine, it's thick walled, and tough. I wore out a new carbon steel blade on my sawsall and ended up using my chop saw to make other cuts. I would recommend this pipe to anyone fabbing there own exhaust. Also keep in mind there are many grades of stainless, some off which will still rust. Know the properties of the materials you are joining, and get the right material, and the end product will have a longer service life.

Although this is a straight piece of pipe, I've also purchased some of their bends and the radius on all of the bends are very concentric which makes for very good fit up! Would highly recommend!!!

Very nice. Its very close to 2.5 inch OUTSIDE Diameter. I knew this before I bought it. Other have complained because they wanted 2.5 inside diameter. Any muffler shop should be able to enlarge if needing to slip over.
