Incredible
I love this book and will most likely read it again. It was captivating and stunning. It is one of my favorites by James Patterson. Of course anything with Dolly's name on it will be amazing. I have loaned this book out a couple times and recommend it to a lot of people. The story is very relatable.

A fun music and mystery romp
You could literally hear Dolly’s voice with both Female characters. The young and hopeful and the retired superstar. It was fun being in her world for a bit.

Love this!! And bought “Used/Like New” and glad I did!!
Been dying to own and read this book. Kept putting it off because of financial reasons. Got some extra $$ and searched for a good used one and I’m very satisfied. I can tell it was used in a library, but it is in almost brand new shape. Actually my opinion it is way better cause libraries put that clear plastic protector cover over the cover on a hard back book to protect the cover and also the book. I carefully peeled the stickers off and lifted the plastic protector up in two places to peel a sticker in those 2 places but I did it very carefully and it looks great. And I have that protector to help me keep it in great shape for my Dolly Collection. I have a lot of Dolly Parton stuff.Even an autographed photo from her!! So I have this book for my collection and I can’t wait to read it also. I’ve been wanting this sinceBefore it was actually released, when I heard about it was coming out. Now I got to get the music CD that goes with the book by Dolly. She is my idol and I’ve loved her all my life. Been to Dollywood so many times growing up that I lost count.

Good, Well Written
I didn't think that I would like the book cause I'm not a country music fan but the story did have a bit of mystery so I kept reading. Its not a regular James Patterson book it seems to me that the story was all Dolly's. A country music fan or a Dolly fan would enjoy it more, to me it was alright.

Easy Patterson read
Entertaining read. Could almost picture Dolly Parton talking in conversation of one the characters. Pretty predictable but had suspense. Tied up in a very neat package

Not What I Had Expected!🤔🎙🎶🎵❤️🩹
A 4 Star Read. 🌟I was expecting much more of this storyline to be suspenseful and thriller related. That might have been my own fault.🤷🏻♀️ However, I did end up really invested in the life and love of Ethan and AnnieLee. They were both flawed but very likeable and relatable character’s. She was much more guarded than him and very late in this book, we discover exactly why!💥The retired songtress, RuthieAnne, who took Ethan and then AnnieLee under her wing, was a delight. She was vulnerable but hardened. Her past had scarred her to the point she retired. She still wrote and recorded her music in her own studio. It was for her though, not the world. AnnieLee was the breath of fresh air they all needed. AnnieLees' secrets were held tight though. They all just had to hope they wouldn’t matter in the long run.🙏🌹I felt this book was probably steered more by the storyline of the great country music legend, Dolly Parton, than by the actual book writer, James Patterson. I do wish, however, that he’d put more of his skilled spins and twists into the storyline as well. I think it would’ve elevated the story to another level. I did love what felt like the ‘behind the scenes’ look that I felt we were treated to, and you could never accuse Dolly Parton of not telling good stories.😉 But that's also why we read James Patterson, where was his input?🤔It was definitely enjoyable but it missed the mark a bit, for me.🥺Debbie, 1970, UK

Pretty poor
Not a strong plot typical girl in trouble boy saves girl. Why not just take her from the motel room when they found her?Not your best work James.

Gripping and beautiful at the same time
Wow this book seemed at first to be just about a young girl making it in Nashville.Soon you learn something sinister I going on in the back ground. Patterson is at his best with this twit at the end. Dramatic, suspenseful and totally and brilliant with a wonderful love story too.Definitely a must read. It's 411 Kindle pages and I read it over two evenings I couldn't put it downKerry Kennedy Author

A gripping tale from the best author and the best singer songwriter - what more can I say
Gripping from start to finish! I wanted to read this slowly but just couldn’t put it down until the end! A really great story of overcoming life’s trials and tribulations in the world of country music. Even if you are not a fan of Country Music, but enjoy a good story, you can’t better this! It’s about life and endurance with a little ‘Country’ added as you would expect from Dolly Parton.
