Cedar BBQ Grill Scraper, Natural Wooden Grill Cleaner for Griddle and Grills, Cleans Top

I was looking for an alternative to the wire bristles, and this is it! It's a great size, with a wide scraping surface. I had a hard time convincing my husband to use it in the correct (assuming from the photos) direction, and I ended up working with it to make the desired grooves. It does take some patience and care, but it does a wonderful job. I love that it's natural and safe. The handle is sturdy, so I'm not worried about breaking it when applying pressure. More instructions would be helpful, as some other reviewers have noted. Overall, I love the Grill Hog! I also love the smell of cedar, so that's an added bonus.

If you are used to using the old wire options for scraping your grill, using this scraper will be a different experience. First, it requires a little more patience and work at the beginning to get the grooves burned in from your grill. Second, you won't spend your time looking for stray metal pieces left over on the grill after scraping. The purchase is worth not worrying about those stray metal pieces. The product is good quality and feels good in hand. I used a sander to make the wood handle a bit more smooth when I first got it. It works well to remove the debris stuck to the grill surface from the last meal. I recommend you get one!

This is a beast of a wood scraper and should last much longer than the wimpy ones you see in the retail stores. Also, the big handle is great for getting a good grip and angle on scraping the grates. It took several times of scraping to get good grooves going because the wood is so thick which is why I only gave a 4 rating. It does give off a wonderful cedar aroma when scraping a hot grill. Definitely recommend if you are at all concerned about metal wire scrapers.

Grill Scraper worked as advertised! It came neatly packaged and worked well on my grill. I like to think of myself as a grill perfectionist. When I was seeing little metal bristles from other grill scrapers, I needed to find a new method. Seeing this product, it seemed very plausible and, even more so, safer. Once I was able to get the groves burnt into the wood, the rest was super easy.As a tip, once you have the grooves placed into the wood, dip the scraper end in water and then scrape your grill. The additional moisture helps break up some of the tougher food stuck to the grates.

I originally bought a spiral wire brush as a safer alternative to the classic wire grill brush but when using it on my Weber grill that has flat grates the spiral brush was useless. After using the Grill Hog Scrapper I absolutely love it and will never use anything else! I feel with the quality of the wood I have better control when using it along with the peace of mind knowing the wood can't damage my grates nor leave behind any metal. Plus I love the smell of cedar wood...

Well made and wide, it seems to do the job. I got it to replace a metal brush after reading a horrific story online about brush bristles getting stuck to food and then lodged in people's throats!! (I know, right? No more brushes on my grill!) The only reason this didn't get a higher review is I've only used it twice and it hasn't burned in any real "grooves" yet so it just rides along the top of my grill grates but doesn't get between them. My jury is out on this one until I break it in more.

This is so much better than the metal brushes I have used in the past. The cedar is very hard and does a great job of cleaning my grill. Additionally, I have little trick of pouring a little cooking oil on the top face that trickles down to the grill as I am scrapping- works great. I have only had a short time, but the grooves are already forming and I think this will help it clean further on the sides. I have always worried about metal fragments - not anymore.

First off I would like to say I would of given this a 5 star rating except I did not get any instructions on how to use it. I had to look up video's on You Tube on how to do this. With that said this is a very good product, after you get the grooves burned in it works well. I also like that it is not overly abrasive and does not leave any fine metal particles behind. Be sure to take your time when burning in your grooves to ensure that you get a good fit. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am very impressed with this product. To be honest, I didn't really think it was all that necessary, as I've never really had a metal bristle in my food. But my wife brought it up and so we grabbed a couple for these, one for home, one for the cottage. They arrived quickly as expected. They smell great right out of the wrapper. I quickly fired up the grill to give it a go. Right from the first use, it worked great and was very effective. Safety and health aside, the grill cleaner works as good or better than a metal bristle brush, and I suspect will last much longer. I've only had them for a few weeks, but I am very impressed. I would highly recommend to anyone. One note, at home I have a charcoal grill and a gas grill. The grates are a little different on each. I would recommend having one per barbecue, as if the grates are not the same size and same distance apart, the burn patterns won't be the same and I don't think it would be as effective. Another note put a hook next to you BBQ and hang it on display. Looks great!

Love this! 😍. It's perfect for my Weber grill. It's a perfect alternative for healthy cooking avoiding metal bits from a regular scraper getting into your food.

Good large size.The grooves start to form after a couple of uses if you clean the bbq while it's still hot.I find it easier to use than my wire brush and it's nice not worrying about getting bits of wire in the food.Can also be used with bbq wipes.
