Initially when the bag arrived, it had a heavy odor. After placing the bag in a plastic bag with a box of baking soda in it, The smell decreased drastically. Now, owning the bag for about a month, the leather is getting softer, and the smell is completely gone.I was a little skeptical about it at first because some of the metal parts had interesting stains on them similar to fluoride and rust stains. After cleaning them down a little bit, they look better.I wish this bag came in black as well.
