Frijid Colored Aluminum Drinking Straws 6-pack perfect for Stainless Steel Tumblers (blue)

PSA - These straw are "powder-coated" with lead-paint, DO NOT BUY!. The paint will begin to oxidize soon after use, dissipating into whatever food item the straw is used for, and rubbing off on lips. A report has been filed with the US Federal Consumer Protection Agency, an investigation is underway.At first when we saw the paint was coming off, we only thought darn, another cheap item gone bad. As a profession I test for lead on a daily basis, working on properties in SE MI where lead is still very prevalent in many older homes. Out of sheer curiosity I decided to test the painted straws before recycling the straws, I did not expect to find lead. I used one of our standard LeadSafe kits to test, ran the test three times to be certain, high levels of lead reported with each test.

I've only had these straws for a week, so I can't speak for longevity. I scraped at them with my fingernail and the color didn't come off, which is a good sign.I am also excited because these straws fit the starbucks reusable cups! So if you're looking for a replacement for the plastic starbucks straw, these ones are a good choice.

I just got the straws yesterday so far they are perfect. I did think the would have a bigger diameter, but they have the diameter of a regular drinking straw.

Great quality. Easy to clean with brush that is included with pack of 6 straws. Pairs great with stainless steel tumblers.

Disappointed. Wanted to use these for my pineapple cups that are gold but the straws are more orange than gold.

Very disappointed. Looked great coming out of the package. Says dishwasher safe so I ran them through for a first cleaning and they came out ruined. Color wore off in spots and I can scrape color off with my fingernail which I could not do before washing. Trash. So unhappy.

Great straws. Just got them so can't speak to longevity. Good color selection.
