The original product from years ago that I bought at a Walmart store came with the battery in it. Guess what happens when you have the battery sitting in it for years? Battery leaks internally. I am not returning it because it is a hard to come by product. I know how to clean it and have tools and electrical contact cleaner solution. I have had this situation on other products and have cleaned them to working order. Buyer beware!

My husband loved his omer Simpson Dashboard Driver, but after having it in his truck for four or five years, the arms fell off and the battery died. I am sure we could have fixed it if we put our minds to it, but I bought him a new one instead. He gets a big kick out of using it to de-stress in traffic.

Homer is one funny guy! Has a full/loud volume voice that you can actually hear, and understand what he is saying over the road noises you may encounter. I believe Homer is for any age, as I bought him for a man in his 70's, and he loves him. Good price, lots of humor, colorful, fun for all, and his batteries were in good working order. Enjoy!

I bought this in spencers gifts for $7.99 I think the first review must have been written by the person selling this toy. It's an ok novilty, but overall, just meh.

Great Fun!
I bought this for a friend who is crazy about the Simpsons. I feared it might be a cheap and nasty disappointment, as so many of these "Spin-off" products are. On the contrary, it is well made and works just as it says on the tin! You can press the button to hear lots of "Homerisms" and, as the car moves, it does the same; often with hilarious suitability.

lots of fun
I bought this for my 9 year old as a stocking filler, not for my car! We all laugh at the comments that Homer makes, and it's still going strong a month after Christmas!! Great fun and yes, good value!
