I could not be more pleased! The speaker is absolutely top notch! Understandably, the two speakers in the enclosure are small; but, the sound quality is very good. The selector switch on the back works very well to get either more bass or treble. The speaker can be very loud if the volume is turned up. The hookup was very simple! I have a smart tv and I have severalother pieces of equipment which are all connected using the optics. I have a four way splitter plugged into My tvs single optics port. All of My other equipment is plugged into this powered splitter. I had one extra optic port on the splitter which I used for this speaker. A very quick optics plug-in and the power cable to the wall outlet. The power cable is a USB plug with the small transformer, 5 volts. One on/off knob with the switch and volume control. The speaker was immediately in nice operation. I had no use for a long distance; but, I tested the speaker anyway. I found the range to be about 150 feet even through several walls of steel reinforced concrete. In the open the speaker might even reach out several more 100 feet. It is advertised to be 100. It easily does that distance! I do not believe there would be any problem moving the speaker about anywhere in a standard house. The package came with I believe every conceoveable cablehookup which might be needed. As I have mentioned, I used the optics cable. I do not believe You would be disapointed buying this speaker.

I live in an apartment. I was afraid I had to turn volume so high on my TV that it might bother my neighbors. With this speaker I’m able to put it next to me. I can understand & hear sound really good. For me & my hearing aids it seems to lower the background music. Making the voices come out clearer. I’m very happy. Thinking of getting another one for my bedroom. And I can carry it from room to room or out onto my patio.

Easy to hook up. Makes listening so much better. If I leave the room I can carry it with me, Good value. Good sound.

This item was recommended by my audiologist. I recently purchased a set of hearing aids and found this speaker system useful in hearing a television set clearer with or without hearing aids. It is portable where it can be placed close to you and be heard at a lower volume where it does not disturb others. I found it equal or slightly better than a sound system.

Sounds good, very easy to set up and my elderly mom can use it easily. Turns on and off and volume control like an old school radio. Dial has a light that’s easy to see when it’s on. Someone just has to put it on the charging base at night. Good product.

My Husband purchased this for me as I found it difficult to hear the TV while in the kitchen, preparing meals, etc. I'd asked for something smaller that I'd seen elsewhere, but he obviously decided to take the "lower priced" route, which didn't pay off. The volume is not loud enough, sounds like you're in a well, and also sounds like static is impeding, like an old time radio (hence, the look). The connection with the TV is awful and somehow causes the TV to go into an eternal "pause" mode?!? My Husband didn't believe me until I showed him several times while using it. So there it sits... on it's mount behind the TV and I will never use it again. BIG waste of money and I guess I will continue to NOT hear the TV while in the kitchen. Cheaper is not always the answer. Do your homework, use Consumer Reports Mag to find what you need. By the way, we also have a subscription to Consumer Reports Mag, LOL. I love my Husband, I swear I do!

Works well, I only wish it had a mute button! Was easy to install.
