It seems like the barrettes are very good quality materials and well constructed. I have thick hair and they're big enough that they could hold nearly all of my hair. Their downside is that they're kind of heavy. My daughter complained that they gave her a headache after a day. I would say that although they look really nice, they are not a bright silver color- they're a dark silver. My pictures don't really show how dark they look in real life.

I was worried they’d be chincy… ordered them for a wedding. They were more beautiful than expected! Excellent value for the price!

I have thing hair and not much of it these are VERY heavy and made of a pewter like metal so they are too heavy for my hair because it just pulls the fine hair out however they are so gorgeous and I am disappointed with my hair and how they stand off my head too much but if you have that thick course hair...like Native American, Asians, even Black hair that's thicker these would be perfect they are really strong and well built and did I mention how pretty these all are? I wish I could wear them. I took one star just because it should mention somewhere that they are too heavy for thin and fine hair. My bad if the description does and I missed it.

These are perfect for my hair. They are stable & don't move around during the day, even if your busy. I love the variety of colors.
