First, this has outstanding battery life. It's also maybe half the cost of a Mophie for the same phone, with far greater capacity. That's the good part. Some flaws make this a three- or four-star product rather than a five. The biggest is that it doesn't automatically continue to charge the case, as the Mophie does -- you periodically have to notice that you percentage is down and then press the button to start charging again.Then there is the screen protector. There are no directions in the box regarding the glass screen that comes with it. I guessed you needed to wipe the screen and glass with first the 1 (wet) wipe and then the 2 (dry) wipe. I wasn't sure what would be holding the glass in place, but it did stay in place, to my surprise. However. it impeded my use of the touch screen, which was nearly completely unresponsive to my touch with the protector on. I took it off to make sure it wasn't my phone. It was the protector. I tried it again, pressing down to eliminate any possible air bubbles, but it was unusable. I put it in my backpack in a cushioned pocket -- any doubt that it was glass was removed when I later retrieved the protector, which was completely shattered, though held together. I haven't used another glass screen protector, so I cannot say if this is an issue with the material, the lack of instructions, or what, but it did greatly mar my experience.

UPDATE TO MY INITIAL REVIEW:I was able to contact the vendor to get a replacement shipped to my door. This replacement product works well. I After this entire process I have some pros and cons for you to consider. I also have some advice for people who wish to maximize the use they get from this battery pack.General advice:1) Charge this for a FULL 7 hours before the first use. If you don't do that you will have complications and your battery pack will not work well or at all.2) Assume 300 recharges before failure. Anything you get over that is a gift from the LiPo gods. You can double that estimate by taking good care of your battery case and following my instructions.3) After the case is out of power you should charge the pack as soon as you are able. Leaving a battery empty for long periods of time can cause it wear out much quicker. It would be preferable to leave 5-10% in the battery before charging. Doing this will greatly increase recharge cycles and your battery life.4) Electrical resistance will increase the more charged a battery is. Thus, charging your phone from 5%-30% will be easier for the battery pack than charging your phone from 75%-100%. To get the most from your battery case I would advise you to recharge when your phone is >15% and then stop when you hit 80%. You will see a difference in the amount of extra juice you are able to get from this case.5) Although this case is compatible with fast charging cables, using a regular(low power) usb cable to charge the case overnight will save your battery and help it last more recharge cycles. The downside is that it will take longer to charge.Pros for me:1) I was eventually able to get the product that I paid for.2) The battery case works well and it is a necessary tool for me in my daily life.3) I get at least one full charge from my case before I need to plug it in. Usually a bit extra juice is left after a full charge(5%-100%)Cons:1) The replacement product I received had a screen protector, a little user manual, and some cleaning wipes. My first(broken) case didn't have any of that. I suspect I was sent a used/damaged product instead of a new one. If I pay "brand new" prices I expect an unopened and unused product. Additionally, my first product came broken. If you are going to send someone a used product you need to verify that it works first.2) My battery case has trouble detecting some USB cables. I have to wiggle the micro-usb a bit before the battery case recognizes it and starts charging. I have to handle the case carefully when it is plugged in or it will randomly stop recognizing the power source and stop charging. This is even an issue with my new, working case.3) Requesting a replacement product was a tedious. Even after leaving a "verified purchase" review I still had to dig up my order number and give it to them. An organized vendor would have had that information readily available on their end. We played email tag over the course of a day before they felt I had "proven" myself as a legitimate customer worthy of receiving a replacement product.In summary: I will give 4 stars because there was a lot of headache I had to deal with on my end before I got the product I wanted. If I hadn't of been sent a used/broken battery case in the first place we'd all be happy campers. I think this product and it's vendor has the potential to regularly earn 5 star reviews. They just need to organize a little better and their customers will be happy. I do recognize that they sent the replacement product with priority shipping and I got it 2 days later.FIRST POST: I bought this thing on november 30th and and 10 days later it has stopped working. I read the instructions online and did everything as directed(charged it for 7 hours before first use). After the first charge it ran out of juice before my phone was charged back to 50%. Now if I leave it to charge the lights will blink, as if charging, but nothing happens. I'm disappointed that the product didnt even last 1 week.

ordered in October, worked great till I pulled it out of my Pocket and Button had turned sideways! tapped it and shook it but no luck. Charged worked till it drained but could not use after that. Wrote review then had Contact with T.A.L, who sent me a new one have had not issues since. I like the battery life and If there are no more issues will update.

Absolutely loved it when it worked.Personally I do not think it is too heavy or too bulky, and is comfortable to hold.The kick stand is an awesome and highly underrated feature!I have always been hard to reach because my phone is constantly uncharged and out of battery.My family hates it.I do not think my phone has been dead at any point since getting this case.No complaints at all.2 months of using and loving the caseIt stopped charging.Debating what to do get another? or go back to being unreliable....Updated, T.A.L. Enterprises is sending me a free replacement unit!Couldn't be happier.

I used this battery case pack for few weeks now. I have tried some ways to get best output but it didnt work for me.Scenario 1: I left it charging separately overnight, in morning attached it to phone. With phone and the pack individually charged. After few hours of phone usage when phone started showing lower battery, I pressed the ON button on pack to start charging and it did. But it died before it could give full charge to the phone. Mind you I was using the phone and also the pack is supposed to be 5200mAh whereas phone is around 3500mAh.Ideally it should charge one complete battery cycle fully while being used reason more battery juice than phone. But it did not once I got up to 90% charge after that around 75% while phone being used.Scenario 2: I charged them together and tried during the day, same result.One more disturbing thing is moment you disconnect it from charging and connect it to phone seems like it starts losing power already despite the ON button not pressed. SO it has already lost some battery power on its own without being used. Even if you do not connect phone and just keep it idle seems like its losing power. This should definitely not happen, as moment i connect it back it shows last LED blinking as if it lost power and its charging again. Please fix this asap.The LEDs work good while charging the pack, but when its charging the phone all blink together all time leaving you absolutely confused.I believe I am going to return this big heavy block as it is not serving my purpose as I generally expect from standalone portable batteries.

The item arrived before the bank holiday, I took it on a fishing trip and didn’t have to worry about my battery.Significant extra battery power.
