I already used up my 5ml tube that came with my set and desperately wanted another one in a bigger size (because I know I was going to use it up). I've bought this quite some time ago and I watercolor a LOT and I still have a nearly full tube. I understand if some new watercolorist are a little skeptical in buying one tube of paint for $13 and it might not be something they want to invest in. Especially just starting out, but I high recommend this. This tube alone can produce more variations of skin tones easily (especially if you have more colors of watercolors). Add more water for lighter tones. More concentrated paint gets closer to its original darker hue, and if you add purple, maybe reds, and other colors it just adds more skin tones to your palette. Holbein (and this paint in general) are very high quality paints. They are easy to re-wet/activate, colors do not fade (I have paintings from 3 years ago and still going strong), and the tube lasts such a long time even if you watercolor on a daily basis. I would like to also mention that because it is artist grade paints you do not get chalkiness that comes from paints like artist loft when it dries. Meaning, your paintings stay intact. Overall, a great purchase and definitely will re-buy this when I use up my tube (whenever that is :DD)

I used this pigment to create a skin tone on my watercolor portrait. You can use it straight or easily blend it with other pigments to create the skin tone of your choice. This is a high quality professional grade pigment that can also be used by novices and intermediate artists.

The shipping/packaging was great! It arrived whole, uncrimped and without the tiny punctures that either cause leaks into the packing materials or (later) the paint to dry out in the tube. The color was as shown. It is a creamy/custardly yellow; I used it in a Fall landscape where it gave the decaying sunlight a mellow glow. It is a good addition to your palette if you’re interested in a new color challenge.
