Does its job
I used the welder to attach thin, magnetic stainless steel material to non-magnetic stainless steel. The magnetic steel was an old-style razor blade (i.e. really thin). It worked perfectly, even on the lowest power setting ('gear setting').Replacing rechargeable batteries in my 24 year old cordless screwdriver was also easy. The cables are fairly short - but on the other hand, having them longer could also cause problems. The one other issue I have deals with the display and the instructions. It is not clear in the instructions just which LED must be lit to use manual or automatic welding mode. But that is a minor issue, as it can easily be tested.

Can only weld .12 nickel plates.
False advertising. Description on page says:Recommended nickel sheet, iron, steel: 0.1-0.25mmSupport 0.3mm aluminum sheet welding. The troubleshooting section says Welding max .12 nickel plate. I needed to spot weld .2mm so it's useless.

Works Great for Lithium battery pack builds
Works Great for Lithium battery pack builds when using Pure Nickel Strip 2P 0.15mm or thinner. .Doesn't bond well if using "clad" nickel strips thicker than .10, but pure nickel strips weld well up to .15mm

Works perfectly
This works great. I have few gadgets that come with batteries and the batteries need replacement baby monitor, portable shop light, etc. This did the trick.

When a tool battery goes dead, weld it back to life
I had four dead 19.2 battery packs, and on opening them found they use 18650 cells. After trying to use battery clips, battery holder, and giving up, decided to just spot weld them in like they were.A few attempts and figured out what worked and off to the races.

Works perfectly.
Works and does what it says. Good for spot welding thin metal pieces in to batteries. I used it to change out a cmos battery. I don't personally have a lot of uses for this product but I needed to fix something and it did what it was specifically designed for.

Wow, lots of power!
I initially bought a small spot welding board that ran off a car battery. At the highest setting, it was so-so at best. This welder is in a different league. I started it at the mid power setting and it has more power than my old welder. At the highest setting, it burns right through the included straps. This will have no trouble handling any welding of small battery packs. Also, it can also be used as a battery pack to charge your cell phone or tablet. I was able to charge my phone, Samsung tablet and my wife's iPad on a single charge with more power to spare. It's a great little device! There is also a version of this with an LCD display that give more detailed info but this one with just the LED bar graph works wonderfully. Recommended!
