MTD Genuine Parts .105" PreCut Replacement Trimmer Line

Update: They are not very durable. I'm only getting one use out of each strand and my yard is not very big with no fence line or anything else that would cause them to prematurely get used up. At first I thought it was due me needing a new trimmer head but I've replaced it and I'm getting the same poor use from these as compared to some store bought ones previously.They works perfectly on my gas powered Troy Bilt trimmer.

I stopped using the old bump style head years ago. So get a string trimmer attachment that replaces the bump head for these pre cut pieces.You just thread a new piece through the head and off you go. Takes 2 seconds.1000x less frustrating than the bump head style.

Using the pre-cut pieces of line is the way to go rather than spooling which seems to invariably get snagged up inside the head. BUT- go to the local Home Depot or Lowes (or Amazon) and buy a bulk spool of .105 trimmer line and just cut it to the proper lengths yourself. Way cheaper than buying it this way!

Good product as its very easy to replace. It would never be as cost efficient as the traditional one but, it will save you time and gray hairs fighting with the old spool.

I like the thought of not having to wind a spool of line and instead just replacing a line into the head. I don't trim a lot so my first piece of line lasted for at least a dozen lawn cuttings. Good purchase.
