Let me start with all the reviews about the smell are spot on! It’s disgusting! And it’s a very fine powder, so I recommend covering your mouth while mixing. Sadly, I can attest that it tastes exactly like it smells! :( The concerns about it gelling, I believe, they are either not using hot enough water or not using a bowl that allows it to get deep enough. It will not gel if it is too shallow! Follow the instructions exactly! Don’t try making a small amount first to see if they like it. They probably won’t if they have to drink it! All that aside, my girl is ridiculously picky! She doesn’t eat many veggies, she doesn’t even like BSFL! She won’t touch crickets, which is probably for the best in terms of live crickets. She is a lot of work to keep healthy because she doesn’t love variety. She loves the roaches and dandelion greens. Anything else is a battle. So, I was skeptical of this stuff. I was wrong! It took a while to get her interested, I ended up mushing some onto her lips so she would open her mouth to get it off, one taste and she attacked the plate of it! I’ve never seen her so excited about a food before! I can’t tell you how much I hate the idea of roaches living in my house! Even if they are contained! It literally keeps me awake at night! So I’m very excited about this stuff! The nutrition in this is awesome! It has a variety of proteins and plants, it contains calcium and D3 and tons of other vitamins and minerals! It has a lot of moisture. Honestly, it is absolutely disgusting! But it’s the perfect food for a dragon!

My beardie really likes this food. It smells atrocious, so you know it must be full of nasty bug-goodness. I love this product because I can't always get live bugs, and its really easy to feed when you're short on time. A tip for anyone who purchases for the first time: Follow the instructions! Measure very carefully. I do 1 teaspoon of dry to 3 teaspoons of boiling water in a shot glass, and only mix it about 4-5 times with a small stir stick. If you overmix, it will not set properly. I definitely wasted a bit of product trying to get it right. Pros: Nutritious for dragons, easy to mix once you get the hang of it, also provides hydration. Cons: Learning curve on how to mix it properly.

Our food driven female bearded dragon ate this no problem. Our reserved, quiet male had some hesitancy about it but we are still working with him to come to eat it. So far, it works for our dragons 50% of the time, with our female taking it no problem, but the male won't.

I have only tried to prepare this once however it did not set up properly even after following the instructions exactly (as I heard others mention you must do). I used one tablespoon powder food to 3 tablespoons boiling water, mixed and let sit for 20 minutes. It never took a gel consistency. I added to the refrigerator and still just looks like sludge. I will try again, but am disappointed that it is difficult to mix/set properly.

I had high hopes for this product based on its promise of providing complete nutrition without the need for live insects or salads. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. First, I followed the directions exactly as written, mixing the powder with boiling water, but the result was far from a gel. Despite trying different combinations of powder and water, the consistency always ended up more like watery pudding rather than the solid gel described. This made it difficult to use tongs or tweezers to mimic the hunting instinct as recommended. Second, my bearded dragon simply refused to eat it. While this could be a matter of personal preference for my dragon, the product’s texture and presentation likely didn’t help. Lastly, I reached out to the company for advice or troubleshooting tips and never received a response. This lack of customer support was disappointing and added to my overall negative experience with the product. While the concept is great, the execution left a lot to be desired. I cannot recommend this product unless improvements are made to the instructions, the formulation, or both.

My 4 year old beardie loves this stuff!! I compliment it with some fresh veggies and he definitely getting the nutrients he's been lacking. Very easy product to use and store. A bit pricey but hey, at least he's getting what he needs. Extremely happy!!

Getting the instructions completely as stated on package is key...but bearded dragons loved it

Bought this as a way to avoid having to keep large amounts of live feeders but unfortunately my beardie ate one little piece and has since refused to eat anymore. I even tried leaving some in his enclosure and pulled out the greens hoping he'd give it another try but he would rather not eat anything than eat this product. By the looks of it, not everyone has shared my experience but now ive wasted my money and don't know what to do with the bag as I'd hate to sell it and have it not work for yet another person.
