The bracelet was not connected when I received it

I love this Italian bracelet .. but I just can't take apart a link and add a charm.. I ruined an entire bracelet have only 4 links left all was bent out of shape n broken I need help doing this... I remember long ago as a teenager how I learned 2 do this but now I cant.. hurting my fingers so bad.. does anyone know an easy way to do this.. please help..

I waited for a while to write this review because I wanted to see just how sturdy this bracelet was. The bracelet is sturdy. It has held up well. I have worn it many times to swim in I didn't intend to but I did and it did not change tarnish or lose any color that was at the beach though so I'm not sure how it would do in chlorine water. I did lose it to my teenage daughter though because it did hold up so well and she loved it and I haven't seen it in my room since it's always on her arm. So I guess I'll be purchasing another.
