Very unsatisfactory product For starters, the 'Lifelong' egg boiler worked once. The second time, the power light came on but the heating plate did not get hot. The measuring cup markings are impossible to read. You need to check the manual every time for how much water to use. The plastic needle on the bottom of the measuring cup is a joke. After breaking two eggs trying to pierce them once with the short, blunt 'needle' I gave up. Such a disappointment.

Stopped working after hardly 5 days of use. can't even return it now. Poor quality stuff.

Product worked hardly for a day. Waste of money. Tried to resolve this issue with Amazon, but Amazon is redirecting me to contact manufacturer directly. I don't know what is the responsibility of Amazon?, Just Sell and Fed Away? In the owner's manual there is no contact number, only email is available. So pathetic situation to buy a product from Amazon and getting after sales support is an herculean task.

The product does exactly what it says. Boiling eggs or poaching eggs using the given accessory is pretty easy. The ability to boil 8 eggs at a time is also very very handy especially when having boiled eggs for breakfast. You can pretty much put the eggs in the boiler and turn it on and then move away to your other chores. Come back to after a couple of minutes and you will find your eggs ready. Normally if there are no fine cracks on the eggs, it doesn't breaks. One thing though, the accompanied manual says to make a small hole at the top of the egg to prevent it from breaking open while boiling but on my usage, it makes for a mess. So better not do that. Also, clean the boiler immediately or else it can develop a brown layer. Also never put less water while boiling which may burn the eggshell from the bottom causing a burnt smell and taste in the egg. Overall this is a good egg boiler and highly recommended.

Like 1. Size and shape - Rectangular and larger than several others...can easily hold up to 8 eggs for boiling 2. Poaching feature 3. Higher heating of 500W as compared to the usual 250W Dislike 1. Cannot pierce the eggs with the pin provided under the measuring cup...pls see pic1. The eggs simply break open because it is too small a pin. I had been using another brand and now using this one after that one had switch problems (after 4 years of use) and decided to try this brand this time. In pic 2 you can see the pin and cup size of the other brand as compared to Lifelong. Piercing the issue was never an issue. Luckily I had the old cup with the long sharp pin and so using that still, otherwise one has to buy something like this at a veru high cost separately (Pls search on Amazon and check for yourself). Piercing the egg is absolutely essential to release the gas inside or the eggs break while cooking. Lifelong's User Manual also instructs this procedure before boiling the eggs (Page 8 of their user manual) 3. The measuring cup is way too small. The markings are up to 60 ml while the recommended measure of water for 1,2,3,4 and 5 eggs for hard boiling is more than 60ml as indicated on Page 5 of the user manual itself. Furthermore,the markings are so faint as not to be visible to naked eye. I had to use a lens to magnify and read them!!!! 4. The metal plate on which the eggs rest gets scaled very strongly and the scales do not come out easily. I faced the same problem with my previous egg boiler of another brand too. But the scaling was not so sticky and did not happen till quite some time. In this case the scaling is instant and extremely sticky. This has become a chore 5. Despite the 500W claim, time taken is more or less the same as my earlier machine, maybe because the size of this one is larger. But it means more consumption of electricity to do the same job Conclusion: The PRICE of 1499 is way too higher than the competition given that the performance is at best at par and the inadequacy of the measuring cup and the piercing pin Suggestion: The company may take this as a useful feedback and remedy the defects. I have not sought a refund or replacement since I found a solution with my old cup and pin. I wish someone had posted these details in their reviews in a more responsible manner. Will update my review after using the machine for some more time. Thanks for reading
