Great price for a GBC Swingline shredder!!!

The first one we bought was so finicky you had to hold the door closed at just the right spot for it to work at all, and it didn't work very much. So they sent us a new one. That was not hard - so thanks. However the new was very finicky. But at least we can get our shredding done. We just need to be patient.

This one jams just like a cheap one. The thing I dislike the most about it is a safety feature it has. If you don't put an entire full stack of papers in it, you can't even push them through. It has a safety catch inside there that is very hard to push anything past it unless it's very big and thick. And then if you put too much in there to be able to push it through the safety catch it's jams up. Not happy.

This shredder is a bit more expensive than our previous one but it is built like a safe and works like a quality shredder should. Love all the safety features, the large "catch" bin and the ability to shred many sheets at once. If you want an excellent shredder, look no farther.

I expected more from Swingline. I have had this product less than a year and had to have it replaced 3 times. Most recently the one they sent did not work on arrival. They were quick to send a new one but unless you have endless hours to sit around dealing with returns and replacements, don't waste your time or money.

I love this shredder. Since purchase (less than a month ago), I have not experienced any jams. It is a good size and ideal for the home.

I really like this machine. It has great function lights and shredded several sheets at a time. Glad I went with a well known company. There is an on /off switch virtually hidden. (its above the power cord).
